"I believe the reward would afford you a lot for a job that doesn't last two hours. Of course, how dangerous it actually is will be left up to your method"
"Also, we made sure there's no actual dragon involved in these cases, just their egg"
A small smile formed in the side of Armon's mouth.
"A job with choices? What's your preference, Harper, seller or buyer? I'm sure by now you have one - as you likely know more about this deal than you're telling us."
Then after a pause, as if doing some math in his head, "Regarding the price, we live a modest lifestyle, so you're basically offering each of us a week's worth of expenses for the night's work - yet you mention shadowy forces and, of course, dragon eggs. At best, we're in and out without issue, at worst, we're coming back bloody if at all, as I know, for a fact, dragon eggs are something worth killing for. So I believe that a month's worth of expenses for each of us, would be more fair, which is about 120 gold pieces, all in."
// ooc If someone could pipe in and help me with this, I'd be obliged as whisper is not the most persuasive person. Lol. //
"You caught on fast. Honestly, we don't really believe that's a real Dragon Egg being traded here. As you said, maybe no one is foolish enough to sell one. We're more interested in who are actually behind all this"
"But now, if you are talking long term planning...."
"We Harpers respect loyal allies, even more so with ominous clouds brewing over Moonsea lately. Surely this won't be the last time we met for weeks to come"
Armon reach out his cloak and put three more bags of silver coins on the table. Each as big as the one he showed you before.
"We have no trouble in paying the price. My question is, are you worth the price you're asking?"
You can hear small thud near Armon's part of the table - a quarterstaff drops from the man's cloak, resting only a short reach from his grasp.
"From as far as we know, most buyers are shady merchants or nobles with bad reputation from across Phlan and nearby. They possibly see these eggs as promise of instant power to further their personal ambition"
He returns his gaze to address the group.
"I have few more mission under my hand. If I decide your strength to be sufficient, I think you're worthy to be allies of us Harpers for troubling times ahead"
"Hopefully that means a more secure Moonsea for us, and more secure future in your coffers"
"However, I have no problem if you think these are none of your business and you'd rather stay out of our trouble. In that case, these bags are my final offer for tonight's mission"
"So. Do you need some time to discuss this among yourself?"
"I have been tested on the battlefield before" Klara said, her tone showing no inflection, before looking down at the cards she had dealt herself for the first time and letting out a slow sigh.
Aeryn takes the paper, looks at it for a second and puts it in his right pocket.
"Uhhh, I dunno". Says while looking at the entire party on the table. "We know how to deal with this kind of stuff, but, well... This is kind of a unique job that's it".
The Harper packs his bags of silver and quarterstaff, stands up, and walk towards the exit while raising his hood. And turns toward you before he exits.
"Surely I don't have to say please keep this mission a secret. Have a nice rest"
As he goes out, the Innkeeper shows himself from the kitchen.
OOC: Anything you guys want to do? Or we just skip to midnight?

Klara picked up the hand of cards she was dealt but didn't look at them, "The Harpers have a history of being good people" she said plainly

"The transaction will happen at nearby abandoned barn at exactly midnight"
Armon puts out small paper and write some direction in it. He than hands it to Aeryn.
"Whichever goal you choose, when you done, I'll be waiting at the Inn's back door. Sounds simple enough?"
Just one thing though: if you're not too tired, I can spar with you to make sure you're prepared for tonight's possible adversary.
((OOC: This is just essentially a mock battle with greyhawk initiative lol as the mission only have one battle in the end. Shall we go?))
