Graxx smiles as he sees Drazzim starting carrying the girl out. In his travels away from home, he finally seems to have found his clan. "Please come back once you got her out. We will need that strength!"
Graxx will remove the 50ft of rope from his bag, "Anyone else got any rope and who is good at knot making(sleight of hand)? We can tie this rope around the obelisks and then pull from the other room to give us some distance once this place starts to come down."
(OOC: I made a quick few calculations and I’ll say you guys need 200feet worth of rope to do this from a safe position in the other room. So, four of you will have to donate their ropes. If you want to try using the one you found, then only three additional people need to give up their lenghts of rope. Finally, If anyone has silken rope, DC goes down a bit more.)
"I think I have somewhere around 40 feet left in my rope; don't know how much I used to tie up that acolyte, I just eyeballed the length I thought I'd need. I have some experience in knot-tying, but not a lot of practical experience tying together a series of ropes"
Marfaen looks on his backpack, and comes off disappointed. "Hm, I fear I'll be of little help in this circunstance... I have no rope... Nor am I particularly talented at knots, neither..." He keeps thinking for more a second, when suddendly he remembers something.
"Oh, wait... Maybe I have something that would help." He flips through his spell book, ensuring himself that he had everything prepared, he then closes it with a nod. "Yeah, I have a spell that lets me change someone's size... So if I made someone bigger, it'd probably help them break this thing down, since that's what we're trying to do."
The group begins to pull their resources together and work out the logistics of where to tie the ropes, what knots to use, actually tying the knots, and what positions to take. (OOC: With Andmarir's, Rag's and Neya's ropes, we only need one more volunteer with a rope. Below are a few rolls needed for the preparation stage. I need one volunteer for each.)
Planning: someone needs to roll a general INT skill check. If that someone is proficient with either Cartographer's Tools or Navigator's Tools, they can add their proficient to the rolls as some of the tools within those kits would be useful in planning this out.
Picking and tying knots: someone needs to roll a sleight of hand check to represent their dexterity in performing the task.
Logistics: A third person must roll a survival check representing the general ability to pull this off.
Once I have these rolls, we'll move on to actually performing athletics checks for pulling on the rope. For now, I'll assume everyone but Marfaen will be involved in the pulling.
I'll say that Drazzim may not volunteer for the 3 planning stage rolls as this is happening while he is dealing with Villonah and caring outside the room.
"I think that rope we found is magical in some way, so I don't think we should use unless we know what its magical properties are and if we can get it back."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Neya is proficient with Cartographer's tools (OOC: although she does not have them, so remove the +2 from the check if you deem so, and I think Graxx is also donating rope to the cause Here):
"Looking at how they are arranged, we will need to tie two pairs of columns. Ideally, they should have a straight line towards the door. The best candidates for that are these two pairs."
She points at the pillars at the corners of J-19 and I-21 for one pair and N-19 and Q-21 for the other.
"The last we will just have to tie by itself. All we need to do then is tie the ropes together and give them a good pull!"
As Rag ties the various ropes to the columns, Utar approaches, one hand on his amulet, casting guidance, the other touching Rag on the shoulder.
"Torm guide your hands master rogue. Skill is one thing, but help is always appreciated."
3 to Rag's sleight of hand check.
With little else to do until the time for muscle is required, Utar doubts he would know much about an enchanted rope, but nothing ventured... He tries to wrack his memory for anything that might be of use
(@DracheLehre: Fourth person to donate their length of rope is indeed Graxx. I had forgotten about that part of his post. Thanks for reminding me. This means that the magical rope is not being used for collapsing the place.)
(OOC: I'll be interpreting Rag's sleight of hand as a 16 given Utar's Guidance. Neya's INT check will be interpreted as a 15 since I had specifically mentioned that some of the tools would be handy. I'm still waiting for a survival check that must come from one of Marfaen, Andmarir, Utar, or Graxx.)
Andmarir, Neya, Rag, and Graxx put their ropes together and count up to just shy of 200 feet worth. Neya leads the group in planning things out and the group agrees it to be a solid set of guidelines. Graxx chimes in with general logistical points on how he expects the hemp of the rope and the smooth old rocks forming the obelisks to interact, but his fellow planners are not too convinced of the usefulness of that information. Tired of talking, Rag grabs the ropes and starts tying them together according to the agreed upon layout. A few minutes later, everyone is back at the cell-room and ready to pull on the single strand of rope coming through the eastern wall.
Drazzim finishes bringing Villonah to safety along with Rillo. Before he can put her down and join the rest of the party in demolition services, someone comes through the main entrance to the secret prison. An elf stands before the door into the tunnel, having come into the room quietly. She has an arrow nocked and trained on Drazzim, but the threat is made to the entire group. “Put the gnome down and leave. You will not take her anywhere and torture her more. There may be more of you, but some of you will not survive the fight if you try to take her. That I promise.”
Bloodied Graxx annoyed by this elf turn towards the elf but does not raise his hand. "Listen here lady elf. You're a day late and a copper short comin' in here trying to save this gnome girl as we already have."
Graxx points at Rillo, "That there is her father. He paid us to come down here and find her and kill these torturers."
Graxx uses both hands to references his blood covered body. "You can see, it's been a busy day."
Graxx clearly annoyed says, "Now, if you want to make yourself useful get over here and help us pull this rope to collapse this forsaken place."
The elf lady listens to Neya's and Graxx's words carefully. Her eyes change focus between the speakers, Rillo, and Drazzim, who is still carrying the girl. The bow aims towards the ground now: "Very well. And does the father have enough coin to hire such a large contingent? Your poise does not betray your words, so I am likely to believe them, but something is still not right."She ponders on something for a few extra seconds and says: "I have cared for Villonah for years now, without her fathers' knowing. Will you hand over the girl?"
Drazzim seems fine with carrying the girl out. Something about being big damn heroes.

Rag will donate his 50 hemp rope. "I think that rope we found is magical so let's not lose that"
Andmarir had been watching but seeing that all seems fine, he listens to the conversation that is been spoken.
He reached around and holds out what looks to be a coiled hemp rope, about 50 feet. " If it's needed, use this. "

Utar swings his pack off his shoulder, searching for a rope, but comes up short. Rubbing a hand on the back of his neck he looks embarrassed.
"I have no rope in my pack, but maybe we can use the rope Master Rag found?"

OOC Do we recognise the elf, or maybe who she represents?
