Talon reappears. He is still invisible, but only for a brief moment. He casts Hex on the Marid (dropping Greater Invisibility because of concentration), and shoots more Eldritch Blasts. The dwarf is incredibly accurate this time around, causing the Marid quite a bit of discomfort (Marid - CMD: 154).
Graxximus retaliates against the Marid with two quick pokes of his shortsword, but the elemental manages to avoid one of them (Marid - CMD: 172).
-> Marid's WIS saving throw {DC 17} vs. Goading Attack: 18 - it does not feel particularly enticed to attack the paladin exclusively.
-> Marid's athletics check {DC 21} vs. shove: 8 - the shield shove forces the Maridprone; it is now on his back but still floating on the water.
Sigil then begins swimming towards his next target. He manages to place himself within melee range from the now proneMarid while designating Graxximus as his new ward.
Not holding anything back, Charles points at the enemy and forces some drastic necrotic incantation on it:
-> Marid's CON saving throw {DC 18} vs. Finger of Death: 18 - the rot is not as effective as the halfling had hoped (Marid - CMD: 202).
Le'gal braves the waters and prepares to attempt to protect his companions from the imminent thunder blast. She holds on to the spell for a few seconds, such that her companions have a chance to realize what she is planning to do.
(@Palfatreos: Your Mass Cure Wounds placement was quite well calculated. You can heal everyone in the party with it, despite naming only four targets. I'll assume you'll heal all six party members unless you explicitly say that this was not what you intended.)
Nox heads the bugbear's warning and gives everyone a health boost (Each party member heals for 35 HP).
Le'gal's renewed Silence bubble then sprouts deep into the pool, adjacent to the far wall (only the pyramid is within it, as per our OOC chat agreement).
(@lerus/super/laser Well i thought Charles was out at range since he is at CZ-13 and Talon blinked to another plane that why i din't include the but otherwise yes i heal the whole party.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Distraught from being cast down by Graxximus and instinctively reacting to the threat swimming towards him, the Marid will "stand up" and water jet Sigil away from itself.
-> Sigil's DEX saving throw {DC 16} vs. Water Jet:11;
The water burst only brushes Sigil's side, failing to push him back. Some of the impact is still forceful, however, and Sigil takes 8.5 bludgeoning damage (already halved).
The Marid is surprised when its own sides hurt (Marid - CMD: 212).

If Le'gal could afford the breathe, she would sigh in relief. Instead, she settled for drifting further closer 20ft forward then up to the surface to stay within range of her spell(120ft). Not that she needed to, but one couldn't underestimate the strangeness of the world they were on. "Ring True, Call of Fate."She intones, and tap her nails against plate, the spell is complete. Bells beckon to the Marid, wishing for it to find peace in the grave.
Action: Le'gal casts Call of Fate at the Marid, 16(Wis Save DC 16) necrotic damage, save for none.

Talon finally feels relief. The battle is not completely over but he feels the end is in sight. Still with crafty characters like this Marid, you never know. Like Graxx, he will probably have nightmares about water for a while. "We have nothing to fear but fear itself. We must continue to press forward. We can and will succeed!"
The Marid realizes that relying on his instincts was a mistake. Staying above water was mistake. Not fleeing when the last elemental was defeated was a mistake. Being targeted by a barrage of simultaneous attacks was a mistake.
-> Marid's WIS saving throw {DC 18} vs. Toll the Dead: 20
-> Marid's WIS saving throw {DC 16} vs. Toll the Dead: 13
The elemental manages to avoid Nox's spell, as well as Graxximus first sword attack, but everything else proves too hard to focus on simultaneously. Its body disintegrates into a burst of water and foam, and by the time the paladin tries to shove it away, there is no solid matter for him to push (Marid - CMD: 338 - DEFEATED).
YOU ARE NOW OUT OF INITIATIVE, BUT THE PYRAMID IS STILL ACTIVE. DO AS YOU WILL.
Graxximus calls out, “My dear fellows! I want to bring your attention to these dice and this image that moved to show goblins attacking when I rolled them. Can anyone wiser than I make sense of this? There is also writing on the wall.”
Graxximus points to the dice on the ground and welcomes any help.
"Charles. See to it. Graxximus. Help him across. I see to pyramid. Only can keep sealed for so long." Le'gal replied, diging into an ear. "And not so loud. Still hurting." She sucks in one last deep breathe, and then submerges herself into the water and into her bubble of silence. Despite her leeriness to touch it, she steels herself to begin examining it within the depths until close to out of breathe(2 minutes total, if recalled correctly).
Once she finishes her initial examination to try and puzzle out a means to at least temporarily shut it off, le'gal surface and wades near Graxximus little platform to report her findings.
Whether he wants it or not, Charles is brought over to the corner with the wall-art and the crystal dice.
Meanwhile, underwater, Le’gal deduces that the pyramid has been enchanted with some sort of thunder trap, but that it is likely that the jewel-like pyramid serves another purpose. The excitement gets to her and she touches the contraption. She feels the rumble intensify at first, but quickly subside. As far as she can tell, no more rumbling is to be expected.
Le'gal goes from staring wide-eyed to smirking at the pyramid hand. If she can move it without further difficulty, she sees to bringing the pyramid up to the surface. "Think... It's... about... Done."She sucks a deep lungful of air. "Whew... Hm?" She looks off to the doorway (entryway?) off to side in wonderment for a moment. Then it is off to swim to the ledge with the others, claw into it, and then with a mighty heave throw herself onto it.
"And.. is other reason.. why I accepted union." A prelude to a deluge of water hitting anyone close to the bugbear from so much shaking around to dry herself off. "This. Thunder trap enchantment. Couldn't figure out more. May serve other purpose here." She offers it up for someone else to grab while she went back to catching her breathe.
Because of Hexblade's Curse the third blast was a critical, additional damage: 2 + 5
Final damage, assuming all are hits, will be: 63 (49 force and 14 necrotic)

END OF INITIATIVE ROUND 8
POOL OF WATER MAP UPDATE:
(Pyramid is up next)
As planned, the rumble of the thunder blast is canceled by the Silence bubble that Le'gal is maintaining. Nothing happens.
(Talon, Nox, Graxximus, Sigil, Charles, and Le'gal are all up next.)
Nox point toward Marid and a bell ring left of his ear. Toll the Dead: WIS DC 18, 25 Necrotic damage if he fail the save.
