Khan's eyes narrowed as Saros spoke, but she at least refrained from interrupting him. Finally, she speaks again in the same hushed tones:

While Bleep occupied himself with searching a set of grungs, Ang decides to search the other. She focus specifically on the group's belongings that the blue grung was transporting, though they are all scattered after Bearrik all but ate the frogman. Ang thinks of commenting on it but Bearrik preempts it with a comment on her kind's taste. The purple hunter refocuses on the potential loot but, after a couple of minutes of rifling through all the broken cages and boxes or ripped bags and satchels, she finds little that would be useful in a fight. She finds one intact but small and empty barrel, a glass jar containing lard with a label in Common that reads, "Griffon Grease," an old rusty key whose matching keyhole is propably lost for eternity, a bunch of now-smashed fruit and small critters, an old and featureless tankard, a bar of unused soap, and one still usable but empty sack. Ang gets the impression (passive insight) that these were simply items this hunting party found laying about in the forest, which probably had stricken them an unusual, and hence, valued as treasure.
Ghee begins to act stranger than usual but only Khan seems to pay it any mind. She explains that the poison effect will soon pass, and indeed, soon it does. Surely enough, Ghee feels much better after half a minute or so.
Meanwhile, Saros begins to cast a ritual a few yards away. The deep gnome grabs a pinch of soot and salt from one of his many pouches, places it under his tongue, and sits on the ground. For the next ten or so minutes, the wizard repeats the same 5 or 6 arcane words rhythmically, while interlocking his cupped hands. Bearrik is the only one who has seen this particular ritual before. The others know that Saros is casting something but do not know what.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
While Saros casts his ritual, Khan turns her attention from Ghee to her new recruits, Tarb and Goin. She agrees on a plan for them to follow starting in the next morning, points to a spot in the camp for them to sleep on for the night, and commands them to do their part in keeping watch.
Bleep begins to dig and set simple pit traps around camp. The little green man is somewhat tired from the fight, so he gets discouraged before he can dig too deep. Over the next half-an-hour, he manages to complete a couple of shallow pits that will, at most, trip any careless intruders.
Then, seeing that both Ang and Bleep are keeping themselves busy, Khan decides to help at least one of them. By dragging some bodies away, the leading grung makes it easier for Ang to look about, especially when she is searching the gold grung's body. (Advantage investigation roll on Ang's behalf: 15.) Ang finds another dagger, another shortbow, and no more than 8 usable arrows. Nothing to write home about.
His ritual complete, Saros seeks Khan. Whatever high tensions were already in place and which had already escalated some after an episode of friendly fire, now only get even more fiery. The orange grung leader and the deep gnome argue back and forth for a bit, away from the rest of the party, and eventually seem to arrive and some sort of uncomfortable understanding. Those observing the discussion get the impression that, were it not for the fact that each group makes the other's search easier, OGA and the Watchers would likely be ready to part ways right here and now.
Nonetheless, Saros and Khan walk away with some sort of compromise and begin to set up their bedding for the night. Khan confirms watch arrangements with her team while Saros reunites with Darrik (now back to his dwarven form) and Omen and begins casting another ritual. This one involves placing a piece of fine silver wire on the ground, in a circular shape, and humming softly while ringing a tiny accompanying bell. Once again, this is another spell with which only the other Watcher is familiar with.

At least for now, the grungs decide not to rely on the Watchers (or a still recovering Ghee) to keep overnight watch. As such, they divide the night into three equal watch periods even though that means they will have to sleep in a bit to make sure they are well-rested by the morrow. Ang and Goin, the red grung, take the first shift.
-> Here's an advantage perception roll on Ang's behalf to account for Goin's help: 21
Ang and her watch partner notice little of interest. The sounds of the jungles of Chult are creepy, but the grungs are more than used to it. There is nothing to report.
Eventually, Bleep relieves his purple fellow and begins his solo watch. At some point he notices an owl perched nearby and ponders whether it would be worth his time to try an catch it. Deciding to be diligent, the green grung sticks with his duty and lets the bird be. Nothing more to report.
Khan commands Bleep to go to sleep and brings Tarb, the new orange grung, along with her for the last leg of watch keeping. One hour into their shift, they spot a passing panther, but the creature shows no interest whatsoever on the campsite. Nothing else to report.
The entirety of the party is fully awake only a couple of hours past sunrise. This will certainly delay their trek into the outpost of Weirding a bit, but getting a full night's worth of sleep with prolonged watch shifts was a necessary task. The group members break their fast as they wish and engage in other minor preparations as needed (@Grungs: I'll assume this includes an hour of water-bathing for the frogfolk, but please make sure to mention so going forward.)
Tarb and Goin leave to perform their agreed upon interception task. Once ready, OGA and the Watchers set off on what will certainly be a full day of traversing the jungle.
(OOC: Everyone should deduct a ration from their inventory. The background feature Wanderer may come into play here as you wish, for those who have it. Separately, I'll need three separate volunteers to roll a d100 for me. Please feel free to RP as you wish throughout the day of travel.)

"you never know what the future hold"thinks Ang. She notices that the group has now grew larger, with three non-grungs, that probably cannot forage as well as them. During the travel she keep her eyes open for berries, roots, small game (wanderer background)

Unless approached by another, Khan is for once content to remain largely silent during the trip itself, and keeps to the middle or back of her troop. Though well before then, she joined Ghee that morning in stretching for the day, having falling instinctively to old rhythms. Which when all is said and done, the hints of anger in her face left over from the night has fled, seeming replaced by a renew sense of purpose. At the question from Ghee, she merely gestured over to B'leep and Ang, and then with the two in mind, called Ang over.
"Make sure B'leep stay to task as well. Know how he gets. Must make up time."She request in common. More than that, she left to Ang's discretion to focus on taking care of any last minute morning business prior to the group taking off.
Bleep takes some time to try and eliminate as many traces of their camp as he can: such as tossing ashes into the bushes, making the grass and underbrush look like nothing was on top of it for an extended period, and removing the remains of any meals.
Before they leave the campsite, Bleep makes sure the signs of its existence are smeared from the landscape. A wise and useful skill the frogman learned in his many years of hunting. Those who brought food with them make sure to get some nutrition before they set out. For those who didn't, Ang provides a medley of jungle fruits and edible leaves as she collects them during the first portion of their trip. For the grungs and the more courageous of the non-grungs, Ang also offers a few live insects and grubs as a good source of protein. (Slimy yet satisfying!)
As usual, Ghee is the one with the lightest of moods this morning. The extra sleep did him well. He offers some naturally repellent goop to Darrik and Saros, and counts them as wise for having accepted the offer. There are move bugs around than a whole village of frogfolk could eat in a day.
Omen scouts ahead as best and as quietly as a non-native bird can. The raven sees little of concern for now, though the forest noises are still a bit alarming. Khan makes sure her team stays on task as well, and surely enough, they do. Traversing the jungle is no easy task, but the Watcher can already see that their alliance with the grungs is paying off. The frogfolk know their way through the jungles of Chult, and the group is making good time this morning. They advance by walking alongside one of many rivulets, with the promise that this way will eventually cross a more well-defined path within the jungle. One that leads directly to the outpost of Weirding.
At some point during the late morning, Ang's careful eyes catch something of interest. Just by the edge of the rivulet, Ang spots an abandoned canoe, which is longer than a standard one. She signals for the party to stop and points at the canoe so all can see it as well. The party is no more than 35 feet away from the canoe at this point.
