Am creating a College of Creation bard that's an author. He is known for his very realistic writings. So I was wondering if you guys had any ideas for flavorful spells for a novelist. He will be level 8 so 4th level spells and lower. Thanks again, beautiful peeps.
I think a great flavor would be to make your spells be letters, so dancing lights is a bunch of floating words or letters, Vicious Mockery is the whole Mockery written out etc. Making it "book" themed might also work - for casting Dimension Door you write in the book where you are - or hop into the book and come out the other side. Locate Creature could be just you looking it up in your magic book. Paper can also be a great conduit- mage hand could be a scroll that wraps out and grabs stuff.
Include Illuminations in his writings where some of the are runes that can recite the story for the reader and maybe have some drawings that move and speak. (Harry Potter)
I have a Creation bard at 8 and Polymorph is just too fun not to take. Confusion could also be pretty funny in the context of a writer spouting off a bunch of dense convoluted prose.

I would have his magic focus be a feather quill.
Cum catapultae proscriptae erunt tum soli proscript catapultas habebunt
maybe enchantment spells could be like writing the command or whatever like Rohan's heaven's door from JOJO's Bizarre Adventure Dimond is Unbreakable
