Suddenly, four figures dive into the water above Avery, one rapidly closing the distance, another one shortly behind, and the other two still relatively close to the surface.
Avery hears that same voice in his head again "You really should stop running. You think we won't keep hunting you? We will, and the two brothers up there still haven't revealed their true rage, although they are getting very close to letting it out. Come back to shore and talk with them. They are still willing to forgive but won't be for long."
Avery doesn't stop muttering, though they notice there are multiple of avery under the water.

Good. You don't know who these brothers are, an honestly neither does Soldaer truly, but I do. Specifically, I know who their grandfather is, and HE is one you don't want to anger

A giant Octopus comes up to shore next to him, and promptly polymorphs into the Couatl. Soldaer the two Aasimar follow shortly after.
Egrien walks up to Avery, although he is now soaking wet, which he promptly stops with a wave of his hand. Avery can see a very hard look in his eyes, the gold in them taking on a reddish tinge "Look, I don't know who you are, or why you are so intent on keeping my staff, which is practically worthless to you, or to anyone basically, but I would very much so like it back. I'm sure by now my companions and I have proved that we won't give up so easily." Egrien's expression softens a little. "Give me the staff back, and we can forget this ever happened. We won't try and exact revenge, and you will be free to go on your way."
Avery shales his head, "N-no, i don't like that." Avery says, backing up a bit, his clothing somehow not wet. He seems scared despite this, his hands shaking lightly
