Question of the Day: Do you make a full world map for the settings of your campaigns?
Yes. It helps (me) make the world feel more real. So I know where the deserts, rivers, lakes, towns, etc., are all located.
However, as the game progresses, the map also tends to evolve. For example, if they're traveling through the forest - and on the map there's no town - but I get a cool idea, and need a town for it - I will put a town on the map.
But the overall map, is done, regions named and all that.
I have one in my head, but I don’t actually draw it. I don’t mind if my players map the areas their characters go through though.
I do this. And for simplicity sake The land masses are in a big belt around the equator. There is not much weather variance where I live so I can't properly simulate the seasons because I don't have experience with them.

Question. Have you ever had to made a card game on the fly?
In DnD, no. It sounds like a fun concept, but I haven't.
I’m running a campaign and decided while we wait for the last player, I’ll let my players play a card game. Turns out I just reinvented magic the gathering, but in dnd and simpler.
Question. Have you ever had to made a card game on the fly?
Not... a card game, per se. But I used a normal deck of cards as Tarot cards. I'd written down what each card represented, and had players draw these "Tarot" cards.
What they drew, I noted, and made the influence of the card happen eventually in the game, centered around that character.
So if they drew a tarot card that represented "The death of a close friend" - they'd eventually meet an old friend from their past, and witness them die.
Yes, once, a few years ago. We used dice to adjudicate things, and it only actually lasted a brief while, but yeah. Can’t remember what the heck we did or how it worked no to be honest with you, but it did happen.

Question. Have you ever had to made a card game on the fly?
Yes, it was really difficult because I’m horrible at card games that aren’t Uno or Go Fish, so I just.. made up really stupid rules that involve card tricks. I think I was like 15 at the time?? I can probably do much better now, but I’ve seen Redpelt make up some really creative stuff on the fly. Entire card game systems and a whole unique number cipher (I can’t even finish writing my HB world’s timeline down completely)

Yeah, I invented a card game for D&D once. I don't remember exactly what it was, but we used real cards. Didn't work well. I've invented other minigames for D&D too, like a Quiditch minigame for my short-lived hogwarts game.

Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
The stories. And the friendships. And the magic. And.... *proceeds to list 500 things about DND*
Anyway, DND changed my life, for the better of course, and because of it I have the confidence to do things like get up on a stage and talk in a British accent.
Question of the Day: Do you make a full world map for the settings of your campaigns?
I try. I am one those people who start with a huge part of the world (cosmology, species, main deities, world history, ETC), so a world map is often essential for me to make early on, since terrain informs things such as history (the blood sea of Istar, for instance), and politics.
Question. Have you ever had to made a card game on the fly?
No. Never. If I did, it would probably either suck or copy cat a game that already exists. simple as that.
QOTD: What is an idea for a campaign you've had for a long time but will probably never get to run.
I used to think all of my campaign ideas would never get played, but then I joined the PBP forum, so now I can do most of them.
Also, if you couldn't tell this my desperate attempt to get us out of the lull we've been in around here.

Hey, It's me, RaccoonMaster! I'm back! I disappeared for a while there, but now everything's good and I'm trying to get into more games!
I'm an actor, writer, singer (opera, musical theatre, and rock are my preferred genres), backpacker, and tall person (6'5 and counting). Pronouns are whatever, I mostly use They/Them though.
My Characters: Elsenia Selevarum:The Popular Paladin, Aasimar Noble, Level 5 Paladin of Redemption;
I have one in my head, but I don’t actually draw it. I don’t mind if my players map the areas their characters go through though.
I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft and Forgotten Realms. My pronouns are she/they.
I like reading and writing too, but I’m not much of an artist.
Yes, but I rarely actually finish them.

I am awful at drawing, so no. I used to, but can’t stand my old drawings.
Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
Spells, Monsters, Subclasses, Races, Arcknight Class, Occultist Class, World, Enigmatic Esoterica forms
I made one, with the understanding that it's not completely exhaustive and scale/distances are wobbly at best.
This QotD is making me miss Dorsay.
Hope you’re doing okay, wherever you are. We eagerly await the return of your wonderfully detailed walls of text.

But if you look at her profile (as of just now, for example) -

Hello! I am a perfectly sane gibberer. Hi! :D
Locations are dead, the Temple of Potassium has fallen but its ideals live on
A mysterious link of chain... (Extended signature). PRAISE JEFF THE EVIL ROOMBA! REALLY cool video.
One of the Warlock Patrons on the forums. Low, low price of your soul, firstborn child and liver!
Titles: The Echoing Story Spewer (Drummer), the Endless Maws (Isis), the Mad Murderer (PJ), more on my extended sig
Not for DnD. When I was younger I made tons of Pokémon style card games because I loved Pokemon so much.
I’m running a campaign and decided while we wait for the last player, I’ll let my players play a card game. Turns out I just reinvented magic the gathering, but in dnd and simpler.
