@Arch, enjoying Civ VII? (I remember you mentioning you were gonna get it when it came out.)
Happy, mostly little heartbroken.
Is the heartbroken a "Gulp is gone" thing or related to an IRL thing?
Little of both.
Ah. What's going on?
I discovered my crush I have liked forever likes someone else.
Oh. Yeah that does suck.
Do you know if the person she likes requites the feelings? Depending, still a chance it might work out the way you wanted.
He doesn’t, I know this cuz in school he is my closest friend. He doesn’t even have a crush.
Well then perhaps you still have a shot. Been catching up and noticed you gave her a Valentine's.
While back I asked her to my school dance too. She said maybe, I think it was cuz my school makes you buy tickets to go.
So you offered to get tickets for both you and her?
I know one homecoming asked a friend if she wanted to go. Ended up being that we didn't go to the dance but did see a movie together.
I realized they were sold out after i asked her.
In September i can invite people to come to something with me for my birthday. I am thinking about asking just her for bowling.
(Popping in, shh)
Go for it! All the shots you don't take, man. I can guarantee that there is like a 99% chance that you won't regret asking her out, even if its a lot later in life, trust.

Ok, i will on Monday. (Would sooner, but due to remote days literally can’t.) thanks for popping in real quick Gulp. Just do it every few days or maybe once a week to lower your chances of getting grounded.

about Civ 7, we ended up getting Civ 6 because it was cheaper and upon release, Civ 7 had mixed reviews, so I’ve played that a bit. I started as Catherine De Demici (my third favorite Catherine in history.)

I've heard a lot of people enjoying Civ VI. Hope you enjoy it! (For me I do Civ V. But I'm also guessing VI is probably cheaper now then when it was the latest.)
For me Catherine De Medici will forever be engrained as her character from the show Reign. (Stupid show at times. But delightful! And my family enjoyed watching it together on Netflix. xD)
So how's your Catherine game going? Feeling like you're more of a diplomat or is the testosterone coursing through you saying, "EXTERMINATE!" ?

Oh gods no, Blegh. I have declared precisely one war and ended it just a few turns after.

Weakling! :P
Just wait until the AI betrays you. Soon the bloodlust will flow within you. >:D Especially if Alexander is as much of a [naughty word] as he is in Civ V. You will learn to hate his face.
So how far tech-wise have you gotten? Any preferred victory path coming to mind? Or just seeing where the game takes you?

Well, I was trying to do culture (or religion, but didn’t research Stonehenge and never got to founding a religion) because I heard France was supposedly really good for culture victories. And i’m a bit behind tech-wise, which does not at all help with winning wars. We just got to researching industrialization, and the strongest ai militarily, Spain, already has planes and stuff. The other factions, Japan, Mesopotamia, and England, are all around the same level as us, and I’m allied with all of them. I went to war with Spain, realized they had advanced military, and decided not to.

Oof, yeah being behind tech-wise certainly is contraindicative of warmongering. Not too familiar with Civ VI's mechanics, but at least I think there's less of a need to be at the forefront when doing culture.
For me in my first game of V I went with the Celts for two reasons. 1, they were first Civ II civ I played. 2, they have some advantages with getting religion and I wanted to use that mechanic.
And for being tech-behind, kind of reminds me of a Civ II game I had. It was a Rome scenario. Probably set between the 1st and 2nd Punic Wars for its start. I'd played as the Celts, building a large empire in Gaul, Germania, Iberia, Italia, Dacia, and possibly Sarmatia. (I don't remember how far North and East the map went, if it had the Caucasus.) Finally went to invade the Ptolemaic Greeks and my army had a lot of outdated units. So at the beginning of the war I had a horde of knights, legions, etc. going against musketeers, dragoons, cannons (maybe even riflemen, that scenario didn't have any tech-cap). So that swarm of mine suffered a lot of losses until I produced a modern army that finished the job and moved into Seleucia. (Back in Civ II you could only upgrade units by having Leonardo's Workshop, unbuildable in that scenario.)
