And I like talking with most adults more because they’re more engaging in conversation with topics I’m interested about, although I do still have friends my age and all that stuff, and they’re absolutely awesome and interested in the same stuff I am.

i just realized I described myself as like, a prodigy. I am only really good at stuff like English and History and science, i suck at math!

each side has a (b - a). So let's divide each side by (b - a)

a = b + a

Now as we remember from before, a = b so let's substitute in a for b.

a = a + a
a = 2a

At the start we said a,b ≠ 0. So let's divide by a.

1 = 2

 It doesn’t work because b - a = 0 and 0 divided by zero is the null set. I’m terrible at math, but I figured that much out :).

 dividing both sides of

a•(b-a)=(b-a)•(b+a)

by (b-a)

just means removing it from both sides.

According to the multiplication property of equality,

(b-a)•(b+a)=(b+a)•(b-a)

0 is never divided by 0 in that proof, so it works.

 But the ultimate answer, 1 = 2, is wrong, so the proof must be flawed somewhere. I thought I found the flaw, but now I’m not sure.

I’ve recently been thinking about some of D&D’s most powerful mages, and I feel like it could be fun to try and rank some of them in power. So far I have 5 mages ranked here:

5th spot: Mordenkainen

4th Spot: Strahd

3rd Spot: Tasha/Iggwilv

2nd Spot: Acererak

1st spot: Vecna

rated in order of power from least to most. Although I’m not sure about whether Tasha or Acererak should be swapped, because I feel they’re both pretty close, though Acererak has a higher CR, Tasha has canonically dealt with and has control over several powerful demons and even demon lords. Although I’m probably missing something about Acererak, haven’t looked into TOA that much.

 I haven’t heard of her, where would you place her? (I mostly relied on CR and only some lore based feats for these rankings, because I believe Mordenkainen is just an Archmage, and Strahd is also a vampire of course. Strahd is CR 15 I believe, but got extra points above anything Mordenkainen would have gotten because he’s also a darklord. And of course, Vecna is Vecna, so they take the top spot.)

 She’s an archmage from the Forgotten Realms. I only know for sure she’s in that level of power because in the new Vecna adventure she’s a member of the Wizards Three along with Tasha and Mordenkainen.
