Funnily enough, this character is based on my old cleric/rouge from that campaign you were dm'ing a while ago so its come full circle
Oh, haha! I really wanted to continue Oak, Road, and Stone, but two of the players are rarely on anymore, and I think one left permanently. But I had put a ton of work into the campaign, everyone had like three connections to everybody because of backstory shenanigans. your character was a runaway of a cult of laughing Loki, if I remember.
Indeed. The new character also happens to follow, guess who, that's right, Loki! Though she's much more of an active member cause it's not all evil and corrupt-like
That’s cool! I don’t remember much else about your character from Oak, Road, and Stone, but I remember that I loved all of your characters.
Did we start that campaign just before your time traveling adventures? Cause I remember it kinda slipped away cause no one posted on it. I'd gladly restart that campaign with the same character and a different party if you would want to
Oh, your people were SO needy. ‘Oh, please don’t burn our crops! Oh, please give us your light so we may feast!’ I grow sick of beggars. Don’t you realize I am more important and powerful than something to make FOOD? Without me, that overrated stone your primitive little lives started and WILL end on will be drifting through the Astral, grayer than your father’s corpse. I am what brought life to your homes, not that former god of green. ME! And what do I get for thanks? Demand after demand after demand. People wonder why I kill those who worship me? Because they do it wrong. I HAVE DONE THIS JOB FOR EONS! Your people existed a minuscule fraction of that time. The only way they could’ve mattered to me is if they gave me the praise I deserved without asking in return. The only way I would have let them live. You are the only member of that disgrace of a religion left, finally stepping out of the shadows to face me. Once you are gone, so will go their memories, and the world will finally move on to the proper worship.

I’d honestly love to do that maybe, although I would have to change a few things (four of the main villains I had planned had heavy ties to the backstories of specific characters) but that’s be awesome. It was months before my time traveling shenanigans, it just kinda died.

I might do that :>
on another note, I did just get a very basic idea for a campaign. Not a story, but a campaign. And I would only ever do this with people that I trust to be good writers (like you, Baalz, Dark, et cetera,) but there is a special optional rule on some random page of the 2014 DMG, called, ‘the gods must be crazy,’ which basically details how occasionally, if someone wants to, they can just… become the DM. And it can happen every session.
It would be very chaotic, but I think it would be fun if everyone involved was a good writer.

That would be fun, but it would be difficult because everyone would have to be in on all the twists and secrets in order to run it properly. Maybe it could be more akin to a freeform plotless sandbox campaign though, that could be cool

Yeah, I think it’d just be absolutely awesome. And the best part is that we can change, add or do whatever we wanted with the worldbuilding at any time, because anyone can be the DM at some point, so we could modify it as we go easily to make it more fun.

Arch thinks I'm a good writer everyone! :D
That would be fun, but it would be difficult because everyone would have to be in on all the twists and secrets in order to run it properly. Maybe it could be more akin to a freeform plotless sandbox campaign though, that could be cool

Wait a minute this could actually be really cool
We all worldbuild together, and then we just run a sandbox game with that alternate rule of dm switcheroos
I would very much enjoy trying this out

Yeah, I think it’d just be absolutely awesome. And the best part is that we can change, add or do whatever we wanted with the worldbuilding at any time, because anyone can be the DM at some point, so we could modify it as we go easily to make it more fun.
As I said before, I'm not on very much, so if you do get this going (please do it sounds so fun) send me a pm so I'll be able to see it easier than searching through buried pages
