Funnily enough, this character is based on my old cleric/rouge from that campaign you were dm'ing a while ago so its come full circle
Oh, haha! I really wanted to continue Oak, Road, and Stone, but two of the players are rarely on anymore, and I think one left permanently. But I had put a ton of work into the campaign, everyone had like three connections to everybody because of backstory shenanigans. your character was a runaway of a cult of laughing Loki, if I remember.
Indeed. The new character also happens to follow, guess who, that's right, Loki! Though she's much more of an active member cause it's not all evil and corrupt-like
That’s cool! I don’t remember much else about your character from Oak, Road, and Stone, but I remember that I loved all of your characters.
Did we start that campaign just before your time traveling adventures? Cause I remember it kinda slipped away cause no one posted on it. I'd gladly restart that campaign with the same character and a different party if you would want to
I’d honestly love to do that maybe, although I would have to change a few things (four of the main villains I had planned had heavy ties to the backstories of specific characters) but that’s be awesome. It was months before my time traveling shenanigans, it just kinda died.
I am open to restart it, you should start looking for a party if you do want to do it again. If you do get a party together, send me a pm, I'll be more likely to see that instead of something that gets lost in the pages of the forums
I might do that :>
on another note, I did just get a very basic idea for a campaign. Not a story, but a campaign. And I would only ever do this with people that I trust to be good writers (like you, Baalz, Dark, et cetera,) but there is a special optional rule on some random page of the 2014 DMG, called, ‘the gods must be crazy,’ which basically details how occasionally, if someone wants to, they can just… become the DM. And it can happen every session.
It would be very chaotic, but I think it would be fun if everyone involved was a good writer.
Aww you just made my day!
Arch thinks I'm a good writer everyone! :D
That would be fun, but it would be difficult because everyone would have to be in on all the twists and secrets in order to run it properly. Maybe it could be more akin to a freeform plotless sandbox campaign though, that could be cool

Yeah, I think it’d just be absolutely awesome. And the best part is that we can change, add or do whatever we wanted with the worldbuilding at any time, because anyone can be the DM at some point, so we could modify it as we go easily to make it more fun.

Alright!
the gods must be crazy rule comes alongside two others, which basically just give players a bit more narrative control, (like being able to make tiny changes or introduce new characters) and, ‘the gods must be crazy,’ is just the most extreme version of that.

Ok waitwaitwait one idea before I go
I had a cool idea to let the worldbuilding run wild and have a blatant disregard for theme or genre so we could have a sci fi city over here and right next to it a cozy medieval village, etc.
Absolutely no restrictions or bounds to the worldbuilding whatsoever

Yeah, I think it’d just be absolutely awesome. And the best part is that we can change, add or do whatever we wanted with the worldbuilding at any time, because anyone can be the DM at some point, so we could modify it as we go easily to make it more fun.
As I said before, I'm not on very much, so if you do get this going (please do it sounds so fun) send me a pm so I'll be able to see it easier than searching through buried pages
Idk I'm just a guy ig

Alright!
the gods must be crazy rule comes alongside two others, which basically just give players a bit more narrative control, (like being able to make tiny changes or introduce new characters) and, ‘the gods must be crazy,’ is just the most extreme version of that.
i actually really want to do this now :>
Well I shall be hopping off now for the night so fare thee well until our paths cross yet again
And keep me in the loop on this idea, ok? I really want to do it too

Alright! Bye!

Nice. Last night I dreamed that a giant kraken made out of orange bricks was attacking Ohio. I have very strange dreams.

I'm thinking of starting a thread called The Loom, just for sharing lore, poetry, and stories that you've created, kind of like The Towering Tower of Lore(RIP). But, any contented posted there can be grown and changed by everyone else on the thread, adding their own editions and such. Thoughts?

I don't think most people would like someone just taking their creation and making changes to it. If you want to see it changed, you could just offer suggestions or criticisms. That's just me though
Yo, I'm Himy (He/him) not as active as I use to be, but I'm here from time to time. I don't got much else to say.
"From the stars of the inner sea, from the tower of insight, from the four corners of paradise, let them know; their story is filled with blessings. Only those free of sin may pass... Garden of Avalon!”
”The elements coalesce, amalgamate, and bring forth the star that interweaves all creation. Bow down with death! Enuma Elish!”
I think I take suggestions pretty well

Is this 'the gods are crazy' campaign something we want to seek out specific people for, I know you were talking about Baalz and Dark earlier, or is it something we want to open to anyone?

Thanks! I was thinking this thread is kind of like Community Code, where everyone is fixing bugs and adding better stuff to it, and just a place to put your work in and see what people think of it. I'll try to set it up today, and send the link here.
