Fighters are encouraged to gut and bleed out their…

Here, the stone pier breaks into a yawning opening leading underground. A large, circular pipe juts outward, a trickle of water flowing from it into the river amidst a floating flotsam of trash and refuse. The smell of old refuse, dead fish, and stagnant water fills the air. Once, iron bars blocked entry to the pipe, but most have been broken off, all that remains are jagged stumps of rusting…

Lone dretches serve other demons or evil magic-users. They are erratic, filthy, and violent, and they demonstrate little sense of self-preservation. Dretches The servants and victims of greater demons, dretches embody petty instincts, chaotic impulses, and violent urges. Dretches exist in unfathomable numbers in the depths of the Abyss, where their reeking throngs fill vast demonic hordes.

Deepdrecks were miners long ago who found themselves far too deep beneath the earth, where they were cursed and corrupted by deforming powers. Now they tunnel and dig greedily, bloated with poisonous gases. Astute observers have noted that these monsters occasionally bear a resemblance to missing loved ones who have long been thought dead. Secret. The toxic essence of deepdrecks is disrupted by…

Second Floor This oddly warm and humid bathroom is filled with steam, nearly shrouding a crumbling sink and cracked bathtub with clawed feet. There are streaks of mold across the tiled walls and floor that fill the room with a pungent odor. When the characters investigate the bathtub, they find that the inside is stained a bright red, and blood begins bubbling up from the drain in the tub. The…

The center of the chamber features a circular drain with a heavy iron grate, so deeply rusted that it is immovable. The Conclave refers to this as “the divine cistern,” and the stench wafting up from the grate makes the sewer smells seem pleasant by comparison. A creature other than a member of the Conclave must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw while within 40 feet of the drain. On a failed…

The thick air in the sewer passage fills your nostrils and smells of mud, stagnant water, refuse, and decay. It takes a moment to adjust to the heavy air and catch your breath. The old sewer system of Drakkenheim lays before you in darkness. Sounds of trickling water, dripping pipes, occasional splashes, gargles, and bubbling fill the passages. Distant sounds of metal, skittering, and the…

The wide Drann River flows southwest, and divides Drakkenheim into the North Ward and the South Ward. Averaging about four hundred feet wide as it travels through the city, the water is deep, slow-moving, and thoroughly contaminated. This old raft has been pulled up on shore with an old frayed rope that lazily stretches across the river. Now a self-service ferry of sorts, explorers can use the rope to cross the Drann. The river here is home to multiple Lob Frogs that hide under the…

The Drann river has no means of crossing it on the north-east side of the city save for a raft and a rope to pull you across. Apparently, several Lob Frogs and sightings of a massive gator have made traversing that way even harder, so naturally, someone needs to check it out.
