I would like to see more filter options for the spells list. For example, I'd like to be able to filter by the spell type, such as see a list of Divination spells or of Conjuration spells. Or list all spells that do damage, all spells that affect the mind, and so on.
I think you should be able to sort the spell list by level. I know you can look up just specific level spells, but it would be nice to see the whole list, sorted by level
Some spell names like Protection From Energy are of a length that they end with ... to indicate the name is to long for the current display. Since I am viewing from my smartphone I was wondering if when this is the case if when the details are exposed for a spell if maybe the full name can be displayed as part of the description.
I understand that the Beta is using only the SRD as a starting point, but since this is the official D&D site, will the final version include the full copyrighted spell titles? For example, Tenser's Floating Disk is listed as Floating Disk. Will the original, Copyrighted title be restored in the final version, or just the generic term? And will this also be true for magic items and the like? Also, will we see the story that was once developed to explain the creation of this spell restored, or are we left with only the generic title?
so, i am not the best speller in the world, and it took my a solid 5 mins to try and find the spell invisibility because i couldn't spell it, if there could be a did you mean feature to aid in my stupidity that would save me a step of going to word to spell check and copy pasting in to the search box.
One thing I would like to see in the spells is a visible tag on each spell for each class that can cast it - basic cross references. So I pull up a ranger spell and look at it, I can see what other classes can also cast it. Or I am browsing the list, want to make a character whose class that casts a certain spell, when I look at the spell description, all the classes that can cast it are listed.
Add me to the list of people that want everything cross referenced! And also to the list of poor spellers that want any spell that has similar spelling in it to come up when I make a typo, so I can pick the one I'm looking for, would be VERY helpful!
Already there! When you expand the spell's descriptive text out, there is tags at the bottom for each class that can cast it.
The tags at the bottom of each spell listing should be clickable links. For example, if I search for a spell and see that it is a bard spell I should be able to click the bard tag to see the rest of the bard spells.

Looking good so far, though!
Hello Sodabob,
Check the advanced filters at the bottom. See the attached pic. :)

What ever happened to Phantasmal Force?
Is Phantasmal Force an SRD spell?
Right now the tools only have access to WotC official SRD content. For more info on what is included in SRD content, go here: http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/systems-reference-document-srd
All core books will be added in the future. :)

Could you add meter for spell range?

Yes of course. When using the non-SRD version of the tools, they should all have the correct names (assuming Adohand doesn't make a typo).

Please add the ability to search for designated 'text' inside a spell text.
For instance, if I put 'plane' in the filter, it should only show those spells that include the word 'plane' inside their description text.
Hey gamingatnichs,
They are going to add a search feature for text-based searches, stay tuned for updates as the beta progresses.
