Please add the ability to add a Co-DM. I mentor a lot of new DMs (mostly teenagers). The inability for either them or me (whoever didn't set up the campaign) to use the Encounter Builder is enormously inconvenient. PLEASE ADD A CO-DM FUNCTION!
The simple ability to create basic non-magic items as homebrew. For example if I wanted to add different types of shields that have varying AC bonuses, tower shield, buckler etc. Honestly its such a simple feature that other RPG game managers have added that I am surprised it's not already part of the system. Before anybody says that you can add an item individually, yes I know but why can't I as the DM create common items for players to search instead of putting it on them to add it to their character sheet. The only option now is to play with the homebrew magic item's and try and make that work which is janky at best.
If I had to request anything it would be the completion of Official DATA entry. Such as spells, subclasses, backgrounds. I am talking simple 5e PHB stuff is missing.
However, a smaller ask would be folders for our characters. Those of us with a lot of them could probably use a bit of help with organization. The tags for what campaign the character in is great and all, but physical folders we could drop them in would be great!!!
Love the new MAPS! On the right track with that for sure. Thank you for making a newer DND player's experience easier.

Everything from the PHB has been entered. It might not all work correctly, but it’s here.
This is super minor, but it would be nice if we could set our dice based on character sheet. I have a bunch of sets for being a subscriber/pre-ordering, but I never change them. If I could set the dice when I set up the appearance, I might actually use more of them.

I know this is not what you are specifically asking about, and not much help, but you can do this in the mobile app.

Not sure if this is the right place to put this feedback, but I was recently going through some of my character sheets for my characters and characters in the campaign that I am running, and I remain as ever less than impressed with the selection of backdrops provided in DDB. The best ones that have been released yet were done for "Keys from the Golden Vault" - art deco patterns that fit really well with the style of the character sheets on DDB and weren't based on specific artwork from the adventure. A lot of the backdrops come from book art, which can be nice in some cases, but a lot of the best parts of the artwork get hidden behind the sheet data, or are super specific to a character, setting, or campaign. I would love to see more generic backdrops as subscriber benefits or pre-order perks that fit with the vibe of an adventure or setting but aren't just the book art. The ability to upload a custom backdrop just as we can a profile picture for characters would also be nice!

I like a lot of the backdrops myself, but I can see how a wider variety would be good. In particular, custom backgrounds from our own images would be great.
What are you thinking of for "generic" backdrops? More simple colors? (The color options for sheet backdrops are shockingly limited.)
Quick dice pools on the left side of the screen or in the dice menu for frequently-used combos on each character. Or just the last 5 (or so) dice pools rolled. (say, 1d6 weapon + 3d6 sneak + 1d6 fire + 1d6 poison
Creating a Feat - The option to select existing feats exists, but we should also be able to select from existing class features to use them as templates too! Many "feat" options we seek to create are just class features from other classes or subclasses! Perhaps a different drop down menu selection so that feats and class features are not all mixed together when choosing the option.

Similarly when creating a race or sub-class we should be able to similarly pull from existing races or sub-classes. Yes, you can "create from a template" but that only allows you to pull from one race or sub-class. What if you're trying to create a mixture of two or more? We should have the ability to outright copy individual traits or features from multiple races or classes to make our custom versions. This means putting a button in the creation page that allows us to select a pre-existing one and cloning it into the new race or class, then allowing us to edit it from there. Not just using one class as a base.
Unfortunately you can't, dice on the app are equipped app-wide.
You know, it seems utterly random which posts mods like yourself reply to in this thread - well, with the exception of when they can say "this already exists" or flat out "no" anyway. (Which isn't a complaint about mods doing that, it's good to have that said at least, just being clear.) The point is, is it even worth our time to "like" various posts? Because I'm not seeing engagement where mods or devs see highly liked posts and respond, even if just to say "we're considering that/working on that/it's not an option/etc" or what have you. One would think that a thread like this would be used to see what users like and so prioritize things based on that but... there's zero indication of that happening.
So, are we wasting our time with this thread or what? Is this just a placebo effect thing, where the devs are pretending to pay attention to what we request but it's really just bullshit? A place for us to "vent" and have nothing actually happen just like most of those petitions people make online? Because it sure seems like it. Feels like this whole thread merely exists to gaslight us into thinking anyone is paying attention and listening to customer views/complaints/suggestions while blatantly ignoring us 99% of the time.
I could absolutely be wrong, as I am well aware that impressions don't equate to truth, but it feels like that's the case. At least at the current point in time, however much the thread might have originally been used properly. If that isn't the case, can we get some sort of indicator of what it takes to get attention to anything? How many likes before someone looks at a request? Does popularity of a request even matter? Or do they just look into "oh, we were thinking about doing that anyway" or something? I mean, at first I just assumed "my ideas must not be that good, oh well" because you don't want to be cocky right? But then after looking at the first and last 30/40-ish pages to see what ideas were accepted? I can't tell if that's the reason or if you're just ignoring all of us, and I'd honestly prefer not to waste my time making/voting on/commenting on suggestions and such, if there's not even a chance of them getting looked at in any serious context. Seeing as the first and second posts in the thread don't have links that go anywhere useful anymore, (they literally just lead here) and they've not been updated... is there even a point to the time we spend here? As far as I can tell, (admittedly without digging through every single page of this thread, which shouldn't be necessary, the first post(s) should just be updated) we have no way of tracking anything to see if any suggestions are even being taken seriously. Which is frankly, terrible.
The thread used to see responses from people like Stormknight, who left this link which is also now dead...
...and she hasn't been seen in the thread since 2019! (Edit: This makes sense since she apparently doesn't work here anymore, but why hasn't someone replaced her on keeping up with the thread? Did all the love of this community go out the window with the old crew? Should we all just leap over to Demiplane because you new guys just don't give a shit or what?)
So what's the deal? Is this thread really just dead (to the devs) or what? If it is, can someone just be honest with us and say so? Becasue if I'm being flat out honest? This? This right here? Is the main reason I (and likely many others) do not subscribe. I can easily afford Master Tier, even with my limited disabled military veteran income... but why would I spend money monthly on a website that doesn't seem to take us seriously? That doesn't do customer interaction/service well, when we can do everything else for free anyway?
From what I can see, you're pretty much the only person paying this thread any mind that isn't a customer. Which is better than nothing I suppose, and your efforts and intentions are appreciated; but hell, one guy isn't enough, and from what I've been told, you don't have any real power over any of this, staff does, not mods, so... you're honestly just more "placebo action" instead of anything real, as far as this thread is concerned with actually getting anything done, though you are at least useful with things like informing us about things, so again, appreciated for what little you can actually do. Sadly, if the only one who seems to give a shit is a Moderator who has no actual power to change things, then your care and hard work, however appreciated, is useless.
And Hasbro and WotC wonders why their reputation is shit and only getting worse... Even the people who have stuck around in spite of all the nonsense they've been involved in recently can't seem to do a damn thing to satisfy the customers that stayed! Loyalty rewarded? Hah, as if!
I will say again for the umpteenth time in several years, I wish there were better search functions for the Homebrew Collection and Homebrew Creations. It is very frustratiing having to search through my collection of over 1500 homebrew spells, items, subclasses, feats, monsters, etc. with the limited search options we have right now. Homebrew should have the same search functions as the ones found in the regular "game rules". Also, should be a way to easily allow players of a shared campaign to view and peruse all that wonderful homebrew. Currently, they can only access it through their digital character sheets, and only in a limited way (through manage spells, manage equipment...)
My suggested solution? Include another search filter when searching for spells, monsters, feats, etc. (like you did for Partnered Content). i.e. (HOMEBREW CONTENT -- YES (or) NO)
Please, please, please, please, please, for the 100th time, please... (Rolls Persuasion check with Disadvantage because target has Corporate Indifference trait....) I have been buying and unlocking all D&D Beyond content since day 1, and this has still hasn't been fixed. Show homebrew creator some love.

The M tag for spells that require costly material components.
The abitlity to choose Advantage or Disadvantage when customizing a skill.
Dynamic Exhaustion levels

More granular Sources content in the Preferences when creating a character (for example, we should be able to toggle Aquisitions Inc. silly options when creating a grittier campaign).

Hi! I would love to see a "Create a Homebrew Class" feature added. Currently I have to use Fight Club 5e for this, but I would much rather use D&D Beyond's amazing setup for features like this. I have a class that I created called the Primalist that I would love to be able to share with the world. Thank you in advance for your consideration!
Would be cool if the Maps in Adventure Books had interactive links to the specific areas. Click area 7, jumps to the position in the Source that explains Area 7. I'm guessing this would be a feature in the VTT or the recent Maps alpha at some point. Either way. Would be helpful.
