Hi, so I want to play a blade witch (like 1 level fighter then the rest would be wizard or druid) but I was wondering if there's any way to have my blade witch use smites like a paladin, because I know that Hexblade warlocks can use certain smites, but I haven't seen any for wizards or druids. Is there anything I can do other than taking paladin levels? I don't want to use paladin levels or holy magic but if I have to I'm willing.
If you want the smite spells, you can either play a race that gets a smite spell as a racial spell (certain Tieflings do) or a similar racial ability (like Aasimar). Or you can take the magic initiate feat and get access to a 1st-level smite spell.

Or, I believe, some of the Ravnica backgrounds might also be useful.
Consider going Paladin 5 and the rest in Sorcerer. You'd get Plate armor, martial weapons, second attack, and if you made it all the way to 20, 9th level spell slots (although only a maximum of 8th level spells known). You'd be the smitiest beast possible! And it would all be within the rules.
If you wanted a darker more blade witch theme, consider taking Oathbreaker as your subclass for paladin and Shadow as your subclass for sorcerer. Sounds like a fun build to me! Vengeance Paladin would probably be the strongest mechanically for the on demand advantage to hunt for critical hits but oathbreaker might fit better mechanically.
Why exactly would hexblade not work for this build? Do you need something that is exclusive to wizard or druid? Keep in mind you can reflavor the warlock into anything you want. They can make great witches. It certainly seems like less of a stretch than Paladin.
Straight hexblade would work. If you picked that, I'd recommend straight warlock. The smites won't be as numerous or as hard hitting as the option I presented but it's perfectly good.

It sounds like you're not going with this, but if you do I'd warn you to be careful. Most DMs, me included, won't allow the Ravnica backgrounds in worlds other than Ravnica, for obvious reasons.
Yeah, a lot of ravnica stuff is unbalanced so I probably won't be using anything from it. Only thing I might consider is circle of spores, but Tasha's is republishing that with more balanced rules so I would wait for that to happen.

I didn't know that, Thank you!
That's a great idea, I was just thinking about using oathbreaker but a sorcerer paladin build would be great
