I'm trying to work on a subclass me and my friend have spent the better part of 2 months working on in and out of the website. (i can supply pictures if needed). It says i'm missing necessary class features. Can anyone tell me what i might've missed? to ask for picture my discord is XVI#5144. TY!!!
First, it’s better to post this in the homebrew thread, folks there can help you better. but over there, you’re really going to need to say what you have already, before people can figure out what you’re missing.
It usually means that you are missing a sub-class feature for a particular level. For a Paladin you need features at 3rd-, 7th-, 15th- and 20th-level. You can have multiple features at any of these levels, and can have features at other levels if you want, but you need to have at least one at each of these levels for your homebrew to be valid.
If you're sure you've got the necessary features, then make sure you re-save the homebrew using the main Save Changes button under Basic Information; this will force the editor to recheck your homebrew for many of the things that prevent it from being submitted.
Also keep in mind that you don't need to publish your homebrew to get feedback on it, you can simply copy/paste it into a forum post either here or in Homebrew & House Rules, because then people can give feedback before you publish, as publishing isn't something you can undo (you can only release a new version).
Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.
god, tysm! i thought the levels were at 13 and 17, but i guess i was wrong. i really appreciate it. how would i paste it here without publishing it however?

You either have a feature at the wrong level or are missing a feature at one of the required levels. For more information please sen the General FAQ #s 7 & Ω-1: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/131411-a-homebrewers-how-to-faq).
