Angry at the cowardice of his foe Bubbles turns his attention to the only thing he can see and decides to advance on Gar and just hold his attack to be triggered on either a strike from the invisible assailant or if Gar can be targetted.
AL26 is the destination from which he can strike at Gar with Last Rite's reach.
Frustrated at his foe's cowardice, Bubbles moves forward while being ready to strike at any moment should he come in contact with the invisible enemy. He goes as far as getting within 10 feet of Gar and, having no better idea of where his previous quarry might be, decides to strike at Gar himself. The barbarian's attack bounces off Gar's protective, invisible cube, which surprises Bubbles. Nothing seems to happen to either Gar or the cube.
(@MuggsHill: As previously agreed, this counts as Bubbles finding out about the cube. Any subsequent attacks to the cube will not count toward maintaining Rage.)

Over the next several seconds, Whale-Gulp has to focus on breaking all of the coral arms that shot up and sideways to grab a hold of him. He makes slow progress, but soon enough finds himself free. While he struggles, he feels Shaolar's movement inside his stomach slowly coming to a halt. (Shaolar Quanderil takes 3 acid damage and is DEFEATED.)

Shanty reaches for the Horn of Blasting hanging from his side and assumes a somewhat awkward position so that the blast zone avoids his nearby companions.
-> Effect roll: 3
Gar braces for the impact and is successful in avoiding part of the damage. Behind him, a patch of the protective cube lights up for moment, revealing the beginnings of a small crack. (Gar Shatterkeel takes 11 thunder damage.)

Effectively cornered, Gar screams: "Enough, you thieves!" He opens his mouth widely and begins to spew large amounts of water in Shanty's and Sandlot's direction.
While Shanty is able to duck away from part of the watery vomit, Sandlot's stuck leg makes it difficult for him to do the same. (Shanty takes 8 bludgeoning damage; Sandlot takes 17 bludgeoning damage and is knocked prone.)
When moving out of the path became impossible, Sandlot could only cross his arms and brace himself for impact, for what little good it would do him. Nevertheless, once the currents die down enough for it, he again seemed to almost partially liquify through the grace of his goddess, as he slipped out Gar's grasp and righted himself. "Persist, still you do.... admirable.... yet foolish... Make certain doom, all you are..." He said softly, and yet looked sternly back at Gar.
Then he seems to startle a little, as inspiration seems to come to mind, and guide his attention again to the trident. "This temptation... Remove, this one shall... May then clear, your ears..."With that, the aged Locathah hurriedly appear to almost brandish Wave back at its former wielder, only to be positioning it to stuff it staff first into the satchel at his side. "There... done, it is... Free yourself of their influence, you must."He urges. But while faithful to Eldath, his posture turned defensive, as he was no blind fool.
Movement: 5ft to escape grapple, and half to get up from prone.
By the time Bubbles turns to look at his assailant, it is nowhere to be seen (moves away from melee range again.) Two more bruises appear on the barbarian's back. (Bubbles takes 14 bludgeoning damage, already halved.)
Bubbles stumbles forward into the force wall between him and Gar and glares at him, willing the pain to be passed to him, then spins around and puts his back to the 'wall' (to protect from being flanked) and readies Last Rites for the next attack (Bubbles readies an attack to be triggered when he is next attacked).
"Amble - need some help here....any idea where that creature is?"
A little disappointed not to be going trident to trident with Gar Shatterkeel, Barnacle shrugs and gets back to the job at hand. The big man-crab needs to more careful with his weapon, Barnacle isn't going to make that same mistake.
Action:
Attack 1: 12 Damage: 16
Attack 2: 12 Damage: 10
Bonus Action:
Returning to his earlier strategy to put Gar flat on his back, Barnacle attempts to turn a successful hit on the man-crab into a trip attack. 1d8 is added to the damage roll of the attack (4) and Gar needs to succeed a DC16 strength save or spend a bit of time studying the ceiling.
Barnacle attacks Gar again, but becomes disappointed to realize his first trident jab actually aimed at the last remaining illusory copy of Gar. Barnacle tries to attack again but Fork misses its foe. At least, there are no more Gar-illusions about.
(@MB: You never had an opportunity to use Trip Attack, so save your Superiority Die.)
LEGENDARY ACTION
Gar is simplemindedly focused on Sandlot at the moment:
11. Barnacle (41/104; red) - Darkvision,Bless,Emboldened Bond (d4);
11. Shaolar Quanderil (gray)
10. Amble (87/90; lime) - Emboldened Bond (d4);
09. Undead Sailor (x3) - two of them are turned/roaming and effectively out of combat for now;
MAP:
NOTES: I assume that the Driftglobe is shedding Light from where Gulp is, although it is currently out of play. Same applies to Bubbles' Candle of the Deep, which is in play. The light blue musical note token represents Shanty's Tentacle of the Deeps. The sand-colored square centered on Sandlot represents Gar's protective cube, but it is invisible and not all players realize it is in play.
There are no changes in the lair at this point. Nothing happens this time around.
(Bubbles, Gulp, and Shanty are up next. Bubbles knows where the invisible enemy is, at least partially at {AM-29}. Gulp will have to squeeze to get out of that separate tunnel. Shanty must choose between an Action and a Bonus Action this turn, and cannot take Reactions. When taking any action that would grant him multiple attacks, he instead can only make one attack. He can roll a CON saving throw {DC 18} at the end of his turn to escape this effect.)

Without hesitation Bubbles swims towards where Amble was indicating (closes to AL28), wildly slashing (Reckless attack) at the 'water' in the area, his blade seeking something more substantial than just the sea surrounding them, shouting "Be my eyes" to Amble, a feral grin coming to his lips
OOC: I posted the Ready action prior to Amble's action, however Bubbles would not sit there waiting if he had an opportunity to attack directly - so previous advance post should be set aside.
Gulp-whale was finally free from the corals (at least for a moment) and swam his fins off to join the battle outside (pushing the thought of how fast wizards can be digested, in case of transformation back happens sooner than expected).
Full move towards Bubbles adding menacing 10 tons presence to the fight. (I think he can get as far as AH 25-28?)
Bubbles receives the prompt he was waiting for. He rushes to the spot highlighted by Amble and attacks furiously, finding a satisfying resistance to his weapon as he attacks the area. The amount of water swirling in an animated manner diminishes considerably. (Malignant Sea Current takes 46 magical piercing and radiant damage.)
For a brief moment, Bubbles once again sees a couple of eye sockets and an amorphous mouth form in the water in front of him. By now, the barbarian has collected enough information to come to the realization that the enemy is not hiding in the water, but is made out of water itself.
(@Blue: I'm placing the whale in the 4 x 4 square defined by the diagonal {AD-25}, {AE-26}, {AF-27}, {AG-28}.)
Whale-Gulp has completed the job of taking Shaolar off the battlefield. Eager to change his focus to the next enemy, the whale squeezes through the nearby tunnel and swims to a position adjacent to Gar's protective but damaged cube. Despite it's low intelligence, the whale is generally aware that it cannot reach Gar with its attacks at the moment, though the beast would not necessarily be able to resist trying again (maybe?). Either way, the whale picks up the exact location of the enemy Bubbles is engaged with through its echolocation.
LEGENDARY ACTION
Gar tries to put Sandlot down:
-> Claw vs Sandlot: Attack: 12 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
-> Bless drops from Sandlot, Bubbles, and Barnacle.
Edit: Barnacle closes his eyes and finds himself teleported to a different spot, also right next to Sandlot (reference.) The fighter's arm is in the claw now, and he feels grappled. (Barnacle takes 10 bludgeoning damage.)
Watching Gar's claw close on Sandlot, Barnacle closes his eyes, hoping the priest survives. After a moment Barnacle feels a crushing pain across his shield arm, like it's been slammed in a door.
Opening his eyes, he sees his own arm caught within Gar's vice like grip, close to the point of pivot.
