Vishnu takes a few steps and releases one final arrow at the Seer. It flies just an inch away from Kandalou's raised arm and punctures the Seer's soft forehead. The creature slumps to the ground immediately, while its charged up staff somehow stays balanced upright for an extra second. (Seer takes 23 magical piercing damage and is DEFEATED.)
Once the staff finally hits the floor, it shatters in a thousand little pieces. The energy wall becomes unstable and some of it begins flowing back into the staff's pieces. Another portion of the energy seems attracted to the Gith Capacitor, and the two artifacts seem like they a playing a game of tug-o-war. The Ulitharid tries reaching our for the diamond-shaped object floating in the air but never reaches it. The energy beam that used to be the wall suddenly snaps and explodes!
Every inch of your bodies hurts and you are blinded.
Vishnu is the first to wake up, though her eyes take several extra moments to adjust. There is no telling how much time has passed since the explosion. She notices that she is back at the cathedral-like chamber, though the walls are no longer made of tentacles, eyes, and mouths. She must be back in Pandemonium. Looking around, she notices that the portal into the Far Realm is gone, and that the bodies of the Hulk and the Mind Flayer lay mangled not far from her. Kalak's body is there too, in a similar beyond-repair state. Shai's body is in a corner, though her head is unrecognizable. (Vishnu has 1 HP.)
A few moments later, Quadere also rises. Once she gather her surroundings, she looks to the western end of the chamber. There is no barrier anymore, and both the Gith Capacitor and the Seer's staff have been pulverized into fine dust. A mangled lump of meaty purple tentacles can only be the dead form of the Ulitharid to one corner. On the wall opposite to it, the Seer's torso and head lay atop Kandalou's unconscious body, while the creature's legs and waist rest against Bethomias' (also unconscious.) It appears they were too close to the explosion to come out unscathed, and that the Ulitharid got the worst of it. Curiously, Ven's body is resting against the western wall, undisturbed.(Quadere has 1 HP.)
Well done everyone - Shai will continue to be very deceased - notwithstanding that she does have a ring of mind shielding (If you die while wearing the ring, your soul enters it, unless it already houses a soul. You can remain in the ring or depart for the afterlife. As long as your soul is in the ring, you can telepathically communicate with any creature wearing it. A wearer can't prevent this telepathic communication.) so she is kind of hanging around for now - so it would be nice for her to get some closure by knowing that her death was not in vain (I assume that outside of resurrection she has no chance of returning)
I thoroughly enjoyed playing through this with all of you. Hope that we cross paths again down the track.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Quadere will wearily struggle to her feet and give the group healing (7) from her rapidly dwindling reserve before stumbling over to the two warriors, unsure of where to go next.
Clarification (OOC): you said the portal is gone, does that apply to both sides? We still seem to be in the Far Realms, is there a way back?

Once Kandalou wakes up he will groan and push the torso and head off of him and slowly stand up. He takes a deep breath and looks around, "Damn. I think we did it." He picks up his longsword, sheathes it, and walks over to Shai's body and kneels over it. "Rest easy, warrior." Before he stands he will spot the ring and, as a memento for remembering a fallen comrade, will pick it up and put it on for safekeeping. He will head over to Kalak's body and pay his respects, "You fought bravely. We won." He will give a rare smile as he closes Kalak's eyes. He will close his for a moment before standing to his full height as he opens his eyes. "What now? Where are we? Is everything back to normal?"
((He will attune to the ring so he can give Shai's soul peace.))
As Kandalou slides the ring on he immediately hears a voice in his head which he recognises as Shai "I failed our people, but it seems that you have succeeded in stopping the attack, perhaps, and for that I take some comfort in knowing my death was not for nothing. Fare well in this life my friend and thankyou, it has been an honour to fight this enemy with you all........" and with that farewell, Shai's soul passes from the ring into the realm of death forever.

The last thing was an overwhelming pressure, then... nothing. Slowly but surely, shapes, color and light have returned to Kalak. It took a while to recognize his bearings. He recognized the remaining members of the Rrakkma, though they didn't seem to acknowledge him.
He recognized the corpses of the foes and was confident in his companions' success.
There was one thing he couldn't recognize. He went in for closer inspection and it clicked. He was looking at his own broken form. With this new knowledge, he knew his time had come. Though, it was earlier than he had expected. Before letting go of this reality, he speaks, hoping at least one of the can hear at least part of his final message.
Perhaps it was the wind, but the rest of the Rrakkma were sure they heard something say, "A job well done... Perhaps I will see you on the other side."
Belthomias regains consciousness. His body aches; it feels like every bones have been broken. But, he is breathing. A quick glance around shows that there is no danger lurking in the shadows and that the Rrakkma can rest for a small amount of time.
“We’ve done it.”he says with a broken voice. “Well done Rrakkma. We need to rest a bit and then we’ll make our way to the stronghold with our fallen ones. I am not leaving them here.” As he says these words, Belthomias reaches Ven. The bard’s soul has now left to a better place, freed of any constrains. “Well fought, you have not died in vain, my friend. I’ll make sure that the next generation of bards sings tales about you.”
Kandalou closes his eyes as Shai's voice enters his mind. He smiles and replies, "The honor has been all mine, warrior. Save me a drink in the afterlife."
He opens his eyes and notices Belthomias rising, "I agree. This place will not be the tomb of our fallen. They will be brought home as warriors and as heroes."
He will help carry the remains back to the safety of the stronghold.
Quadere makes sure those that still draw breath can continue to do so. Apart from calling on Oghma for that small blessing, the cleric remains silent and finds a corner to rest. A somewhat still confused Vishnu joins Quadere in her silent meditation. A few minutes into it, they both swear they could hear Kalak's voice, though they are not sure how. (Belthomias, Quadere, Kandalou, and Vishnu heal 6 HP each.)
Belthomias rises and quickly assesses the situation. The lieutenant brakes the silence by suggesting that those who have survived regain their strength and patch their wounds for the next hour or so. The rrakkma does just that, and Kandalou uses that hour of downtime to connect with the voice inside the ring he took from Shai. Glad that someone thought of inspecting her trinket, Shai speaks one last time to her companion. Kandalou honors the monk before rising and signaling that he is ready to go.
Belthomias carefully picks up Ven's body, while Quadere does the same with Kalak's. Kandalou covers Shai's upper torso and head with a ripped piece of his bedroll and the group is then lead back though the Pandemonium dungeon/temple by a wary Vishnu. The rrakkma advances through the tunnels with no rush, passing by the room with statues, the one with the vat of wax, and the one where they fought the shapeshifting crimson blob. Eventually they make it into the room with the teleportation circle that leads back to the material plane, and see a curious little statuette trying to understand how to use it.
It stands approximately 3 inches tall, but has all the rage of the full-sized statue the rrakkma destroyed earlier. Having lost one of its eyes, it looks disoriented while trying to move too quickly for its size. The little animated marble statuette looks lively and mischievous, even tipping some clay bows that lay about the magical circle and clearly enjoying it. The rrakkma doubts it would be any good in a fight, but it is simultaneously entertaining and harmless enough to serve as a good mascot for the team. It only speaks one word, which you gather must be its name: "T'k'shk"
With their tiny little friend in tow, the rrakkma uses the magical circle and traverses the underground tunnels in the Material Plane over the next couple of days. Eventually, they reach the Sha’sal Khou redoubt on the Sword Coast, taking the next several days to fully recover and lay low. It doesn't happen every night, but whenever one of the survivors has a nightmare, a combination of tentacles, eyes, and mouths always makes an appearance. It is an enervating way to sleep, but it is a small price to pay for knowing that the gith won't be wiped of their psionic abilities and become willing pawns of the Mind Flayers once more... At least not this time.
Vishnu will move a bit closer (doesn’t matter where) and fire at the seer.
