A book containing teachings of how to perform magic of immeasurable power (EG: spells stronger then Wish or other spells like that) has been stolen by an evil group that wishes to use it for their evil purposes. Your goal is to get it back. Said book is held in the most secure area of the fortress.
And comment how you would get said book and make it out alive in the reply section.

I pose as a new recruit and, during the night, steal the book and disguise it as a normal book. If questioned or caught, I pretend I got lost. I deal with security by casting greater invisibility on myself and sneaking past. Before stealing the book, I bide my time for a couple of days as a new recruit, so I can get a measure of security and layout, but act as though I am clumsy and goofy. Not enough that I'm useless, but enough that I'm harmless, and information might be let slip around me.
Now that is what I'd call an infiltration. Hidden in plain sight, yet undetected.
I think I'll take a go at it:
Preparations - I go meet with the rulers of the nearby nations and request assistance. I promise valuable goods from faraway lands if we succeed in defeating the enemy. The Kolbold, Goblin, and -surprisingly- Mind Flayer Royals/Councilers/Chiefs accept the offer, and in exchange, his army storms the enemy fortress from several fronts following a highly sophisticated tactical analysis.
The Siege - The army of Kolbolds, Goblins, and Mind Flayers storm all main gates at once, quickly overwhelming the surface level defenses. Meanwhile I sneak into the dungeon with a specialized task force. The Mind Flayer of my task force uses it's mind control ability on the nearby guards, forcing them to attack the other guards. In the chaos, I run in with an Adamantite blade, slicing the metal bars and releasing the prisoners. After the rest of my task force makes it past the dungeon, I cast Dimension Door to the plane of negative energy. I then cast another Dimension Door to the plane of positive energy inside the first, causing an explosion that nearly destroys the entirely dungeon. I then cast Wish to ensure that me, my task force, and the freed prisoners make it out alive. We then meet up with the army near the enemy armory, where we arm the freed prisoners. After this we storm the enemy vault. While the rest of the army is bringing the money and artifacts to the caravan, I choose the most powerful and versatile people to come with me to reclaim the book and steal the other high-power artifacts. We decimate the enemy guards and bring the artifacts to the army where they load them onto the caravan.
The Escape - With the enemy fortress destroyed, the army searches for any remain enemy troops to arrest and interrogate them. I allow split the money and artifacts equally between each of the three kingdoms and myself, the 1/4 the goes to me being mostly donated to my hometown. I makes sure to keep the book hidden somewhere super secret so that something like this doesn't happen again. Oh, and the other kingdoms also got what they were promised.
