So i have this character, and for story/lore reasons, he’s half undead. He’s not the actual race Half Undead, it’s just like a status, sort of. Me and my friends got into an argument snout whether or not my Cleric party member’s Turn Undead’s ability to destroy undead would destroy him, due to only being half undead. Please help
What is his creature type, or types? If he does not have the Undead creature type the. He would be unaffected. If he does have the u dead creature type, a an if he is also a humanoid or whatever, then yes, he would be affected. So what is/are his creature type(s)?
I’m sorta new, so I’m not sure what you mean. He’s a Dragonborn, silver, and to sum it up, one of his parents is a lich, the other is not. I assume he’s still humanoid and undead?
A Dragonborn is a Humanoid,* not Undead. If the “Half Undead” thing you got going on adds the Undead creature type to your PC, then the answer is “yes,” if it doesn’t then “no.”

If you are unfamiliar with stuff like “Creature Types” you might want to brush up on the rules a little. (https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/basic-rules/monsters#Type) I know there’s a lot of them, but stuff like understanding creature types is important for knowing how lots of spells and class features work, including Turn Undead.

We don't have any authority over your homebrew content. Whoever made up the half-undead status would also determine how TU would work on them. The players can argue all they want, but the whole point of the DM is that one person gets the final say in how things work - and that goes double for homebrew.

If he is a PC, then I would use either the dhampir or reborn lineages to simplify your life. Both are humanoid.

Its either his creature type is humanoid or undead. But I would also use the dhampir and reborn lineages to simplify it.
Thank you all, the answer is basically now yes, he will get snapped if he fails a CON save
