Character Service API Removal
We have decommissioned (and removed) many endpoints used by our older Character Sheet. These routes were never publicly supported, and are being removed to avoid potential issues with data freshness and accuracy. We continue to explore the opportunity to provide a supported, documented API in the future.
As we plan an eventual public API, we would love to hear your feedback on what you would want out of an API and how you're currently using this information to help us make it as useful as possible. You can share that here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/d-d-beyond-feedback
YES THANK YOU! <3 <3
"We have decommissioned (and removed) many endpoints used by our older Character Sheet. "
Would that break Beyond20 ?
beyond20 shouldn't be using any old endpoints but if so they will update
Is there any plan in the works to fix the life Domain cleric healing modifier bug yet, or other class based spell modifiers like that?
The changes have already happened, so try your character(s) and see. I did a quick test of a couple things and had no trouble.
Also, they wouldn't be able to answer anyway since they don't support Beyond20. You'd have to direct questions to this thread. But your best bet overall is to just test it out and see if everything still works properly. But my super quick test of basics seems to work fine still.
I was on mobile back them....
I just checked, on chrome it's working as before as far as I tested.
On firefox, clicking on "Cast" skill now corretly marks the spell slot as used (chrome still doesn't do that), but doesn't roll on roll20. You now have to open the side skill on the side bar and click on Cast On VTT. The same thing for stealth or iniative, for example.
Life Domain Clerics have Divine Strike starting at L8, but I can’t seem to figure out how to activate it on my sheet. Is this a known bug? If so, are there plans to add it to a future enhancement?
Love all the enhancements made — thank you, devs, for making Quarantine gaming so much fun.
Will the Player Tools app have the ability to customize preferences, such as the spell level scaling introduced here? Having 8 spells listed under each spell level is a lot on a mobile device.
when will we see the piety system and supernatural gifts to player sheets?
You don't need to activate anything specifically (unlike Paladin Divine Smites); although there should be a note on your weapon attacks to remind you to the option.
I would love to see a reply in this thread: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/d-d-beyond-feedback/71065-removed-undocumented-api-endpoints-regarding regarding the removed character endpoints. While it's awesome to hear that you "continue to explore", but that does not sound like it's a thing happening in the nearer future. Data freshness and accuracy not being 100% is still better than having nothing for months - and removing before actually having a replacement ready is not ideal.
bring back the planescape planewalker class
There seems to be a bug in the Eldritch Cannon feature of the Arcanist Artillerist class. The force balista option seems to add the intelligence modifier of the owner to the damage but I don't see anything in the cannon's text that would even suggest this so I assume it's a bug or at least an accident?

P.S I have already Submit a request and nothing happen
this looks interesting i guess.
Great quality-of-life improvements! Good bugfixes too.
RIP API.
*Fix Cleric/Druid/Paladin characters seeing other class homebrew spells in their known spell list.*
I am experiencing a similar issue with homebrew subclasses having homebrew spells appear on the list that were not selected.
Might just be me, but I noticed that when I create a character and finalize it. Then go back in afterwards to say edit the backstory, my ability score jumps up. My example is a wood elf ranger. Race bonus is +2 dex, my score was originally 17 total when I created him. After I edited the character, now in the character sheet its showing up as 19. Can anyone else confirm this, and if it is happening, send this off to whomever needs to know? Thanks
Never noticed. Just to eliminate the obvious: what method did you choose for abilities? If the manual, what number did you enter for dex - 15 or 17?
you need to fix shields under equipment. shields are +2 not +1 as it comes up under starting equipment
