When you get to choose what stats get boosted, you can choose both to be the same stat, meaning a stat can be raised by 3. That said, l love this, and l hope this stays as a feature, rather then removed as a bug.
Probably a bug that will be removed. Lotta people are really against letting you get a ability that high at start.
I really wish there were some official rules for a 'more generous'/high fantasy feel' regarding ASI/feats - Like, I wish there were published optional rules of Wizards going 'yeah, letting everyone have a level 1 feat won't completely destroy the game' and/or 'a high fantasy ability score spread' - or official optional rules for 'each ASI level gives both a feat and an ASI. I personally don't feel like it ruins things, and can make games with parties of 3 PCs or games where the Players don't like being on the cusp of death all the time feel a little less fragile/ more 'play with the fun powers'.
If you want a +3 to a single stat by exploiting a bug on DDB, I'd just go with a Customize Your Origin half elf. You can set your ASIs for +4 to one stat.
They're aware. It's probably not something they think they can fix quickly, and they didn't specify if they are going to try and fix it, or are hoping it doesn't make it out of UA.

(Seems the same for all the Fey folk UA)
