I'm making a 3rd level sorcerer, which should mean I get to choose 2 level 2 spells. I already have Darkness from the Shadow Magic origin.
But it is not letting me learn any 2nd level spells.
As a 3rd-level Sorcerer, you can know 4 spells.
You're probably confusing the spell slots for known spells - a Sorcerer 3 has 4 1st-level slots, and 2 2nd-level slots. But you only know up to 4 spells, which can be a mix of 1st and 2nd level. (Darkness is separate from your total of known spells.)
Helpful rewriter of Japanese->English translation and delver into software codebases (she/e/they)
OOOHHH. That sounds like what I'm misunderstanding. Thank you!
