My apologies if this has been reported before. In testing how wearing armor impacts a Monk I noticed my AC was not changing when I equipped an armor that should have provided a lower armor class.
The relevant stats are a 16 Dex and a 14 Wis. Without armor I get the expected AC of 15 (10+Dex+Wis) from Unarmored Defense.
However if I equip Padded or Leather armor I would expect my AC to become 14 (11+Dex) but it remains at 15.
It appears that equipping armor is not removing Unarmored Defense from my list of available AC calculation methods and so it is still being used to determine my AC.
Similarly if I equip a shield my AC goes up to 17 (10+Dex+Wis+2) instead of remaining at 15 (10+Dex+2) as expected.
DDB currently goes by which Armor Class calculation is the highest, without checking whether a particular calculation is disallowed when wearing armor. It'll be nice once that's fixed.
