I was homebrewing a subclass and a feature allows the character to deal a fixed amount of damage. That damage grows as the character levels up, so I tried using the Level Override feature in order to accomplish this. For some reason, it will not change the fixed damage dealt no matter what I do. I changed the activation time as a test in the same level override as the damage change, and it worked. Anyone know how to fix this?

I dont think damage works with level over ride, otherwise they would use it for dragonborn breath weapon.
