Could we have the ability to call up content in blocks from the D&D Beyond Database (official and/or home-brew) similar to what we're seeing in Twitch, but opened up to others is well.. feats, spells, monsters, races, items etc
If this was restricted based on the D&D Beyond account holder browsing the 3rd party site.. all we're allowing is to USE the purchased meta data electronically with services Beyond isn't supplying. If I've purchased the Players Handbook, I can use these tools to build components for my campaign on paper .. if we pulled the same info into a wiki that I've built isn't that the point? To leverage electronic meta data? If John doe goes to my wiki, it could show ONLY my setting flavor text and none of the Beyond components if the user has never unlocked the content on Beyond .. OR .. if he decides to purchase the beyond account.. he could get a complete home-brew campaign settings.
Beyond has pretty much stated no VTT and has really shown very little interest in managing Campaign Setting details (like defining Countries, Provinces, Cities, Factions, NPCs, Pantheons, Custom encounter tables etc) with regards to custom world building.. So unless they change their tune we'll be stuck with a character builder + custom content database - which, yes is another step forward since all the prior character builders, but will always be a FAR cry from a campaign SETTING management tool.
1) create a custom monster in D&D Beyond 2) I use a web service like wiki or custom webpage to display my world setting 3) the website uses the clients existing D&D Beyond account to view the content on my site, which pulls in meta data to display the monster's stat block. This would go for backgrounds, monsters, spells, races, items etc..
I'm sure I've seen API questions on the forums, not sure if I've seen this asked or of any official comments about this kind of functionality...

I'm going to guess that you haven't listened to either of the video updates, nor read through BadEyes posts, because almost all of these questions are answered.
They have said that all of what you are looking for is coming, but it takes time. They are a small team (and growing) and are working hard, long hours to get strengthen the foundation for the most powerful set of RPG tools that exist. Including possible integration with VTT platforms, fully detailed campaign management tool sets, and custom world building, and even the possibility of an API, but the ability to use the data on other tools won't be Beyond's choice, it will be WotC's licensing choices, and I think they are, at least for now, happy with the arrangements they have made with existing tool sets. Their "tune" has always been that the campaign management will be built upon as things move forward, but that the main priority is the character builder.

The most memorable stories always begin with failure.
World building I don’t think they’ve shown any interest in - future or otherwise.
If they’ve posted regarding documenting history, regional information (like cities, provinces, territories and counties etc), maps, calendars, NPCs etc I’ve missed that. My understanding was they’re focusing on core mechanical data - not actual campaign setting details.
if I’m wrong can you provide a reference post?
if the reference seems to be a ‘full campaign toolset’ I have to say that’s a bit of a trap, as the term is somewhat subjective unless clearly defined.. but if they have made reference to the above I’ll be pleasantly surprised.
VTT integration I’ve heard rumblings about, but again that only gets you so far. The component I feel is missing is the actual defining a world setting - and again, I may have misunderstood their intent - which would benefit a great deal of that service could pull in the core actual game play mechanical data beyond supports (feats, spells, races etc)
If you have a sec throw back a reference link and I’ll checl it out :)
