Hi evryone, i have an artificer as class but i would like to make him as a ninja. I think that could be a good idea because of the multiple tool i can creat with infuse item. But i would like to know if you have some idea to make him more stealth, so which subclass i would have to choose or maybe a multiclass.
I second Sisyphus_Rocks on an Infiltrator Armorer as that'd be my choice as well; take armour that doesn't give disadvantage on stealth, and you'll end up with full advantage on your stealth checks. If you can pick up expertise on stealth using the Skill Expert feat (or even a level in Rogue) then you'll have to roll pretty badly to fail a stealth check.
The extra movement is good too, and if you expect to play to 9th level or higher, being able to put a bunch of extra infusions on your armour seriously opens up your utility options.
I should ask though, why not Rogue? Is there a particular reason you want to make a ninja using Artificer instead? If you want magic then Arcane Trickster is a great Rogue sub-class, even if it has a bit less casting than Aritficer. A Way of Shadow Monk also makes a really good ninja.
Not that I think you shouldn't do an Artificer ninja (I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun), I'm just curious why Artificer specifically.

Although I agree with Haravikk that a rogue like Arcane Trickster makes a great ninja, as does a Way of Shadows monk, I could see wanting a ninja artificer either because it’s fun, or to fit into an all-stealthy party like a Thieves Guild campaign or ninja guerrilla war against tyrannical samurai nobles. I can imagine a campaign with a rogue, Way of Shadows monk, an infiltrator Armorer artificer, Illusionist, Gloomstalker ranger, and maybe a Trickster or Twilight cleric. That could be tons of fun if you like capers.
With going Armorer Artificer, a relevant quest to bring up to the DM is the pursuit of something like Mythril armor. Since it has no Stealth penalty even at full plate, the Armorer can get full advantage with the Infiltrator mode. And even then, you have the Invisibility spell and access to Goggles of Night or other items to duplicate to further your sneakiness.
Amusingly, the one time I was able to play an Artificer was the time I tried to play it as a thief like character. Ended up a Battle Smith anyhow, but the class still brought me enough tricks and tools to pull off a heist scenario anyhow. It just depends on how well you set up your character for it.

I made a character like this once (though I used battlesmith) and for me the idea was that Artificer (and some other classes) play really well into the sort of motif of a ninja with a collection of specialized tools and abilities at their disposal, which you just really can't pull off in the same way with a rogue or monk.

Thanks guys :)
I suggest you go with an Armorer. The infiltrator armor form gives you advantage on stealth. Just stick with medium or lighter armor.
if you want, you can flavor the lightning weapon as electric throwing stars.
Oh okay thanks a lot that help me as well. I'll try this
Yeah that could be really cool too i'll see with this subclass, thanks.

Yeah, Armorer with Infiltrator mode is the best option. So many ways to up your Stealth that even Rogues or Gloom Stalkers will get jealous. :P
