I'm thinking of playing Artificer in the campaign our next DM is starting, however, I don't wanna spend 30 dollars, which in my opinion is very overpriced, on Tasha's Cauldron. Is there a way I can individually just purchase the class? I scrolled down to 'Individual Purchase Options' in Tasha's Cauldron page and only found subclasses for Artificer.
You can just buy parts of each sourcebook individually on DND beyond, including artificer. You can also do this for sourcebooks that have races, magic items, subclasses, and feats.
Or, join a campaign where others already own the book. Building the character from within the campaign with sharing enabled gives you access through the character builder to every book owned by everyone in the campaign.

Playing D&D since 1982
Have played every version of the game since Basic (Red Box Set), except that abomination sometimes called 4e.
Or go to Unearthed Arcana, and download the pdf that they released as free material. Use that for playing. Otherwise it’s an all or nothing download. You might find pieces online if you search, but maybe. Best for free would be the UA, but it’s using 2024 rules

The subclasses give you the class too

how did you only buy the one?
i cant find anything but the whole book
Its too late now. they removed the option to buy things separately. so now you have to buy the whole book.
