I guess I didn’t phrase my question well - is there a way to manually edit the character sheet? My DM granted me the use of 1 extra Bardic Inspiration die, but I can’t find a way to manually edit the character sheet to include the extra use without increasing my charisma score. The Rhythm-Maker allows you to regain bardic inspiration as an action, but also increases your spell dc etc.
If you have the drum unlocked you could just create a new homebrew magic item and copy it (you can copy anything you've unlocked as content), then just remove the extra parts you don't want. This will be the simplest option.
Otherwise you could create a new magic item, add an action to it (just create a general action and add a description detailing what how it works, then set it as a bonus action), and once the action has been saved you should be able to add limited uses to it which you can set to one, and to reset on short or long rest. That's a fair bit of effort just to add a box to the character sheet though.
Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.

There is a new magic item that can help you with that: the Rhythm-Maker Drum.
