I've not actually played Cleric yet and I know things tend to be be different in practice than in theory. However, the Destroy Undead feature seems not very useful. For example, to use it against a CR1 creature, you have to be L8, at which point you have to be swarmed by eight of them before it even classes as a medium encounter for the party.
For those who've actually played it...is this feature actually more useful than it sounds?

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
Don't try to use it as the Destroy Undead ability and just plan to use it as its base Turn Undead ability and you will get much better mileage out of the ability. Also Destroy Undead is not a single target ability. All undead that fail the save and is with the CR level is destroyed.
Turn Undead is a very specific ability since it only affects undead creatures so chances are you will most likely be using your Domains Channel Divinity ability or the optional Harness Divine Power over Turn Undead more often than not.
