Hi, I need a bit of help with my character. I'm trying to decide on a deity for my chaotic neutral life domain female tabaxi cleric Brook. Anybody have suggestions? I'm playing Hoard of the Dragon Queen.
The FOrgotten realms pantheon is quite large. If you look at the end of the PHB, there’s an appendix of gods of the multiverse, including an FR section. Quite a few from the realms have life domain. I’d start there and see if any fit for your character.
I would take a look at either the kind of culture that Brook grew up / reason for her becoming a devoted follow of a particular god.
As a general guide there are about ten life domain gods in Forgotten Realms, these include the general ones (Chauntea, Lathander and Selûne) and for the culture specific ones, Dwarvish (Berronar Truesilver and Sharindlar) Elvish (Angharradh), Halfling (Yondalla) and Orcish (Luthic).

Then I’d say look at AMC’s suggestions. Many are race specific to something other than a tabaxi. So of the general ones there’s chauntea (agriculture and nature) lathander (dawn and renewal) and selune (The moon).
Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
You don't have to be the same alignment as your deity.

Doesn't look like there is a Chaotic Neutral aligned god of Life. All the CN gods in Forgotten Realms involves trickery.
