Hello All Been playing in a campaign for a few months and been loving its very fun rp heavy, and i am playing a Big Dumb Himbo Aasimar Rune Knight Fighter, with a heart of gold, that works for a Monster Hunting Guild
Due to recent story reasons cause of his Aasimar Heritage & an npc close to him have been training together, it has been leading towards him Going down Multiclass of Cleric, Paladin or ranger
For Context We are currently Level 5 Nearly 6 and the party make up is
Me Runeknight Tough Dual Wielder Str Build Scimitar, Shortsword combo
Our Human Scribes Wizard
Drow Thief Rouge
Psi Warrior Fighter Glaive, Sentinel
Very High Int party with exception of me being the only Real Wisdom & bit of charisma in the party
So we don't have a healer but we do have potions to keep us up, and my character is quite Tanky Hp HP-wise
For Stats, i have
19 Strength, 13 Dexterity, 18 Consitution, 8 Intelligence, 16 Wisdom & 13 Charisma with a nice solid 64 HP 16 AC
My Debate was what to go with as i love the flavour and theming of Forge Cleric, but its channel divinity is very lacklustre & + 1 Kind of loses it luster in a high magic campaign
War cleric was a option 2 but I already have a bonus action attack for dual wielder
The other 2 cleric thematic would be Order of Light, but don't resonate with what im going
Paladin would either be Conquest, Redemption or Watchers
Ranger is the more interesting due to his history fighting unique monsters, so UA Hollow Warden, Fey Wanderer or Hunter
The campaign is going to 20 so in it for the long Haul and i definitely want my Level 7 runes & features, with my level 6 Fighter Feat going towards Heavy Armour Master
But debating if next level should be the start of my multiclass journey to have a little healing, support/utility for the party
So, wondering what people would do in my shoes, i think right now Cleric & Ranger would be where i be lingering with, regardless 7 Levels into Cleric or Ranger for features & cleric high level spells
Be curious to hear Peoples advice as dont want to get to crazy with two many features trying to compete with my economy, and what sounds like a fun concept to do!
