I should preface - I don’t care about Shillelagh lol - kinda joking about min max!! I want to use a greatsword and cast a spell and fight a turn - those are me goals
1. If you want to do save based spell casting (mind sliver) you might want a better intelligence than 14.
2. Fey touched really depends on the spell. HM/Hex/Bless all boost your attack abilities. Bless eats your action.
3. Ranged attack. Suggest swapping mind sliver for fire bolt or similar attack cantrip. Its not perfect, but if something wants to stay away you need something to do.
4. GWM/Charager feats will get you to 19 str so your 3rd ASI should really be a str feat or +1 Str/+1Other. Mage Slayer is probably your best bet.
I recommend Dragonborn over human. Darkvision is too useful. If you do take human you need Light as a cantrip. Swap out prestidigitation. If you go human you have many different feats to choose from. Tough is not a bad choice.
Warhammer's push mastery is good with booming blade since you can freeze them and push them away. Not a big fan of Great Sword and Graze because the other options for great weapons (Topple/Cleave) are more dynamic in game even if the math for Graze is excellent.
1.) I'd been thinking about it for int - I felt mindsliver might be ok because it'd force a int save, which is fairly low - and since I'm going to be in melee often, it's something I could use without disadvantage and maybe wouldn't need as much int to back up as a ranged spell attack like firebolt might.
2.) Hex sounds like an awesome damage multiplier - plus could help make up any int deficiency - though you make a good point about 19s, and fey touched would leave me at a 19 s and 15 int, which is somewhat awkward. I could go 16 for my str and bump int to 15, then some combo of charger/GWM/Mage slayer + fey touched to get 18s and 16 int?
3.) I was thinking the trident might work? Plus with jump and fly could help me close the gap pretty good - better if I had fey touched for misty step.
4.) Dragonborn looks like a lot of fun - so I'm all for that lol.
About the weapon masteries - my plan was to combo hot swapping the warhammer and greatsword to maximize my damage - though topple +push could also be a fantastic combo lol. I love the greatsword math wise - but maybe a maul would be better than the Greatsword, and a halberd could be a good cleave weapon to combo with push or fly?---- so, what do you think of a pike/halberd/maul - then I get a piercing/blud/slash weapon for whatevr case - and have some diversity of reaches? Nothing that can hold with a shield - could pick up that warhammer if I have the money though?

Alright - sorted out my thoughts yall:
Character I’m trying to make:
red Dragonborn or human
custom Origin Magic initiate: shield/booming blade/prestidigitation
Eldritch Knight Fighter
S17 d8 con16 wis10 int14 cha8
level three: Mind sliver/blade ward, find familiar, jump, silvery barbs
Level 4: charger or Great weapon master
Level 6: Fey touched or Charger/Great Weapon master
Level 8: either get ASI/Feat or go Wizard from 8-10 for some level 3 spells and specialty.
Warhammer/greatsword/shield/trident/Chainmail, misc adventuring gear
🥳

Thank you very much for the feedback!
