Ring of Protection for some AC+1 & +1 to all saves.
Martial Arts weapons Dagger or Staff +1 or +2 or Staff of Defense which gives AC+1 and is a magic weapon +1, just ignore the 10 charges and spells attached to it as they do not work for a Monk. And just something you may or may not have noticed is a staff is versatile and can do 1d8 damage.
I guess it all depends what items the other party members have?
Agree that to know what is balanced we need to know what the rest of the party have and how the monk wants to play (+1 weapon is good for a kensai, less good for a monk that wants to only attack unarmed).
Insignia of claws from tyranny of dragons is basically a +1 to unarmed strikes
Dragonhide Belt for the monk that uses their ki to force sving throws (e.g stunning strike)
Bracers of defence to help boost their AC, cloak of displacement does a similar job
Amulet of health increases con to 19 mainly to give them a few extra hit points (monks get he same hit dice as rogues but roges can bonus action disengage as often as they like
Other things depend on the character and campaign, for example if they don't have darkvision, goggles of night are amazing,
Eldritch claw tattoo is a really good item for a monk if you want to boost offence a bit.
