Please forgive me for this very very basic question. I tried searching the forum but couldn't find what I was looking for and I have my first campaign since the update starting Sunday. I am a Ranger, outlander background, wood elf. I see Favored Enemy listed, but couldn't see a place to select a language for my favored enemy? I also did not see anywhere to select a Favored Terrain. Did these things disappear with the 2024 Ranger? Am I just being stupid? I wish I had more time to do research before asking a silly question, but I'm a mom of 3 kids and this campaign is going to be my biweekly escape from parenting.

The 2014 ranger is not the same as the 2024 version. Neither of those versions are like AD&D & 2e and 3e and 4e.
So if you are expecting X class from a previous edition to be verbatim in another edition, you will probably be disappointed.
