Conjuration - either one of your spells is the proper tool already, or you can make the proper tool with a spell, or you can use a conjuration spell to go to the proper library and learn about how to make the proper tool for the job
Enchantment is my personal favorite, followed by Transmutation and Conjuration (Sorry Abjuration, I love your subclass but the spells are pretty dull!).
Enchantments are a lot like illusions; The more creative you are, the more effective they are. This is true with all magic, but I find it to be especially true with these two schools. That being said, however, I kinda like the... sadistic connotations of enchantment magic. Spells that warp and alter a creature's mind directly. No artistic shadow magic castles or dragons, you just make a guy think all of his friends are angry kobolds and force him to go into a paranoid frenzy until he kills them or he's killed in self defense. Giving a man a mental imprint that inflicts horrible pain if they go against your will. Uttering a word and making someone drop to their knees in agony, Commanding someone and making their own body betray you as they drop to their knees and bow to you. It's awesome.
EDIT: I'm also a big fan of Psychic damage, it's probably my favorite damage type. Enchantment tends to do psychic damage, so there's that.. Also Tasha's Mind Whip is an absolutely amazing spell and it might be my new favorite, so that also plays a part in my decision.
Unrelated note, let me go see my therapist later on today.
Transmutation is just great. For damage, you have catapult among others, for speed/escape you have fly along with other speed boosts, and transmutation spells can also be used to augment yours and other party members' abilites, like in enlarge/reduce. I just think it's neat
(These are not subclasses, just the actual schools of magic). Please respond to the poll and respond and say why you chose it.
Divination and Transmutation are tied for my favorites, but Portent is really good.
Erean Cabenrith a Variant Human Cleric (Light Domain)
Eliem Lightblossom a High Elf Blood Hunter

It's ok Ranger, you'll always be cool to me.. Unless druid gets another use for its wild shape charges.
