I have a Drow 7-2 Bladesinger/Undead Warlock S8,D16,C12,I20,W10,Ch14
I am debating what feat (or ASI?) at Wizard 8. This is probably the last ASI or feat we will get before the campaign ends. At Wizard 4 she picked up Fey touched so I already have that. Her invocations are Devil's Sight and Eldritch Mind.
The campaign is combat heavy. In combat she currently employs a non-magic Rapier or a dagger +1 depending on the enemy. She also has a hand crossbow for ranged attacks.
Things I am considering:
Dex ASI: will get a +1 on my already extreme AC. My AC in bladesong is currently 28 on the first attack against me and 26 on every attack after that (includes +5 for shield). She is often either blurred, PGE or in haste boosting it higher still. This will improve my hand crossbow attack by +1 but won't affect other attacks because I already have a+4 due to strength.
Lucky: Can never go wrong with this feat
Drow High Magic: a few more spells to cast. She has Dispel Magic in her book but it is not usually prepared, the other two are not in her book.
Metamagic Adept: with quicken spell and subtle spell - I already have some cluttered bonus actions but this would be nice to combine with a full attack action.
Martial Adept: a couple battlemaster maneuvers??
Artificer Initiate: take GFB so I can free up another wizard cantrip, and probably pick up sanctuary as the spell along with a useless tool proficiency (I already have thieves tools from a background). Attack the BBEG then bonus action to cast sanctuary on the raging reckless Barbarian so BBEG has to swing at me (in vain).
Mage Slayer: This would present an interesting delima - counterspell or attack a caster for trying to cast a spell.
Alert: +5 intiative, invisible enemies don't get advantage
Weapon Master: The party has a +2 longsword no one is using. She isn't currently proficient though. She could grab this as well as whip and probably battle axe and warhammer proficiencies.
Some great feats I like that I am not really considering:
Warcaster: she already has advantage on concentration saves through Eldritch Mind
Shadow Touched: She already has invisibility in the spellbook. I also have Armor of Agathys so False Life is not of benefit.
Elven accuracy: The +1 to an ability won't matter, I have advantage some times but not enough to really make this worthwhile, when I cast Silvery Barbs I usually give advantage to the Rogue who already has EA. Additionally the 3rd d20 is most effective when AC is high and if that is the case I can use a save spell or use a save cantrip with my second attack. So this is like an extra chance on a 1d8+3 when it comes into play.
ASI +2 Dex. You won’t always have blade song up and the bonus to hit, damage, and initiative is nice. If possible, ditch the gloves and get the Amulet of Health. You need CON more than STR. Bigby’s hand can do whatever STR stuff you need, if needed.
Mobile. Being able to disengage without opportunity attacks is huge. Plus extra move speed.
War caster. Casting booming blade as a reaction is great and may convince them not to move. Unfortunate redundancy on the concentration checks. I would see if you can swap the invocation.
Remember Shadow Blade is a thing and can upcast. Auto advantage in low light. Pairs well with Elven Acciracy and Darkness. No need to chase after longswords.
I have a lvl 10 High Elf Bladesinger, and the only Feat he has is Mobile. I've played him as melee focused and I have really liked the speed increase and avoiding the opportunity attacks (dashing through difficult terrain has been almost irrelevant). He usually doesn't stay at the target after hitting it, and especially in conjunction with Booming Blade he can either avoid melee attacks from the target the next round or cause the secondary damage. My Bladesinger has AC "only" 20 (25 with Shield), but with your character's AC somewhat higher, maybe you can risk opportunity or regular attacks more easily. The critical hits will come always through, though.
That said, it's a shame that +2 Longsword goes unused, but a Feat is a high price for that. The mentioned Shadow Blade works also as a good magic weapon, but I haven't used it after 6th level. It eats up your concentration from all the good wizardly spells, which makes you so much less potent. It also depends on the DM interpretation whether BB/GFB works with it. But I've been lucky to get a good magical sword, the Sunsword from Strahd (and as an elf he has longsword proficiency).
Thanks, I ended up taking a Dex ASI and we finished the campaign.
I did not take mobile because I usually wanted the enemy to make opportunity attacks on me (allowing other party members to have more freedom of movement). Her AC is high enough she almost never got hit in melee and had both shield and Silvery Barbs for any stray crits. So she moved around with impunity while drawing AOOs and I think mobile would have been a detriment to this.
Shadowblade is concentration and usually there were better options for that like either a control spell (fear) or a defensive spell (PEG or Haste)
If you dont have consider taking an acana profiency to scribe spell scroll with skill expert.
Strixheaven Initiate feat can give you acces to one spell from other spell list that you can upcast (like heroism, curewound) but could be hard to justify the lore about it. (casting a curewounds throught the familiar using find familiar is a vary satisfacting thing ^^) (giving your team +5temps hp that are recovered at start of their round is also a good thing knowing you have high chance to not loose concentration)
Warcaster is a good option to be able to cast spell while 2 weapon figthing.
Fighting Initiate to take some dual wielder fighting style or duelling.
Dual Wielder feat. (+1ac) more little damage boost.
Elven accurracy with Major invisibility or using a shadowblade is priceless ^^
Telekinetic is a good one to crowd control that can be used with bonus action.

Sounds like good choices!
