I am playing a 1 Artificer / 6 Necromancer. I've looked at the entry for Skeletons, it says they can use weapons. Undead Thralls adds my proficiency bonus to the damage of my undead's weapon attacks. Would this mean that I could give three skeletons slings, cast Magic Stone every round as a bonus action and have them each make a sling attack for 1d6+4+3?
Tough question and I would say yes. I have done something similar with Tiny Servants and Magic Stone and I gave couple magic bows to my skellies time to time.
Ultimately, I recommend you to validate everything in details with your DM. Some DMs are more purists and just allow what’s exactly written into the creatures stat blocks, other DMs allow creative interactions like the one you proposed.
I see a couple of potential issues, but I think it works at its core. The biggest question is whether your DM will let them behave this way as a "general" command or require them to be commanded each round. Since you can't cast magic stone and command them on the same turn, that might put the plan to rest, although you could still equip them in advance with a stone each for an initial salvo.
The second is handing off rocks. Your DM would probably let you pass three stones to one skeleton as a free item interaction, but you can't get to the others without an action apiece. You could drop the rocks and move away so the skeletons can move in and pick up one each on their turn, but that behavior might factor against allowing a general command. That would also get fouled with initiative: If the skeletons beat yours, they can't use ready to move, pick up a rock, move, and attack; if you beat theirs, you can't cast magic stone the next turn without frying the ones they're holding. Unless you have a house rule that lets the minions share your initiative (or they happen to match it), you're probably stuck with them shooting every other round at best.
