the bladesong feature does a lot of the same things that an monk does, and an multiclass bladesinger 2/ monk 2 or higher will have a bit of an ridiculous armor class rating, good speed, as well as the abillity to buff their own speed with spells like expendious retreat, longstrider, haste etc and will be an good speedy boi. Lore wise an monk/wizard multiclass makes some amount of sense with monks being partially secluded schollars who sit and contemplate life, the universe and everything, and wizards also stuying life, the universe and everything. With bladesong and unarmored defence you can potentially get an armor class rating of 18 at level three, and that i must say is pretty good number to have, and the maximium armor class rating you can have as an bladesinger monk is about 40, assuming you have used magic items to permanently increase your dexterity, wisdom and intelligence scores to 30, something no sane DM will let you do since for you to do so you must gain several magic items of very rare rarity.
((the manual of quickness and action, the tombe of understanding and the tombe of clarity of thought, each can improve their designeted abillity score by two points, ignoring the normal limit for player abillity scores of 20. Each one can be used once every 100 years but there is no limit on how many speerate books of the same kind you might have, yes this is absolutely stupid and nobody will ever do this, you cannot just accedentally find like five of the same incredibly uncommon breed of book, unless you decide to craft them yourself using the optional crafting rules, but doing so will still take you awhile and will cost an so large amount of money you defenetly will not be able to earn without somehow breaking the economy)).

I like the idea of a wizard/monk MC but I think I like the war magic subclass better for the combo than the bladesinger.
