Abyssal perhaps. Celestial might be used for some. When I am picking languages that my magic users might have studied for the sake of study, I typically look for elf and draconic. Infernal, Abyssal and Celestial I look to for more specific things.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.

Like how often do demons even write shit down tho, and how often do angels and shit bother with non-divine Magic?

i am soup, with too many ideas (all of them very spicy) who has made sufficient homebrew material and character to last an thousand human lifetimes
I’d probably recommend more.. otherworldly languages at first (Celestial, Deep Speech, someone suggested Primordial and Abyssal) because when you think Magic in DND, those sorts of creatures seem to have a higher connection to the stuff. But if it’s something such as a Spell Scroll found in a normal Dungeon or Shop, then I’d recommend Common, because translations will make it easier to use a spell, as not everyone will know such languages.

tl;dr Ancient Languages translated into Common
the big problem is that nobody ever chooses common, every player race comming from any official source always start with common by default, this is not exactly helpful

Why there's no Arcana language there ???
My Ready-to-rock&roll chars:
Dertinus Tristany // Amilcar Barca // Vicenç Sacrarius // Oriol Deulofeu // Grovtuk
becuase arcana is not a language, it is a skill
