Tasha's has been out for quite some time, and the rules for creating a Sidekick for your campaign are great! Streamlines making important NPC's that might be with the party for a long time or would need to be leveled up as the party progresses, without the complexity of having to deal with an entire PC-amount of abilities!
I think it would be very beneficial to have the option to create a Sidekick in something like the Character Creator so that they can be added to campaigns and encounters, and thus would have a streamlined way to level them up.
Maybe expand the extras section (where companions/pets/familiars can be added) to also include sidekicks/followers. This section should be viewable on the PDF export sheets as well.
Yes please add Sidekick as a class creation to the character generation as that would be quite useful for GMs and small parties in general. The rules as written for them are great for giving a bit more variety for special NPCs that are somewhere between the two extremes.

Please?

Please yes! It seems like it would be a simple thing to basically make a sidekick class.
