There's a small change you could make that would have a significant effect on the readability of character sheets: use the Unicode minus character (#2212) instead of a hyphen.
Right now, modifers look like this:
+5 -2
Using the Unicode minus character, they'd look like this instead:
+5 −2
The fact that the hyphen character is so small in the horizontal direction, combined with the use of gray rather than black for the plus and minus, causes "minuses" to get visually swallowed up. Using the longer minus character would make them much easier to see. As far as I know, every phone and tablet OS these days offers full Unicode support. Even if they didn't, an en dash (–, #150) would be a better substitute for the minus than the hyphen is.

+1 for Catbus avatar :)
I am the Inquisitor Imperitus. I am judge, jury, and executioner. Draw your last breath now, as I send you to the Nine Hells.
I'd accept a −1 as long as it's a Unicode minus. ;-D
