I, like many other dungeon masters have run into a problem: Regulating player character creation. Sometimes I like to use Forgotten Realms, mix it up with Eberron, create a new world for players, naturally.
Right now, I cannot feasibly do this without putting in a ridiculous amount of time (people work, people have families, kids, etc.).
I've found myself telling my players, "Here's a list of things you CAN'T use" - which no one likes, and often forgets about. Right now, I have a hurdle that is A. Increasing my workflow for gaming sessions, and B. Making my players unhappy. This also isn't just a request for myself - I think almost everyone who plays could benefit.
My feature request is simple:
Master lists for all functional game resources (races, items, spells, monsters, deities, skills, EVERY game resource that affects gameplay)
A check-box next to each listed item, for each campaign you have - the default would be Official D&D
Every time a campaign is created, the check-boxes are created
This will allow any DM to quickly create a custom campaign - without worrying if Player XYZ is going to buy a grenade launcher, or make a monster PC, or a choose an unused language, etc.
If it's D&D Beyond - then go beyond - make it easier for us to do EVERYTHING so we can JUST PLAY.
This is a feature that is planned for upcoming development according to the last developer update stream. See the below in "Upcoming". This falls under "Source Management". Fingers crossed they discuss it more next Wednesday during the developer live stream. :)
Might be relevant to point out that both the Twitch Extension and Creatures Section are out. While some work will be dedicated toward refining those features and going over reports, it does hopefully move other stuff such as Source Management (or the Encounter Builder I'd rather have myself) even closer.
I'm pretty sure that this will change with the full source management system that will be implemented next year, but for now it does mean that any additional languages that Wizards of the Coast add in new books will be available for everyone.

We are getting closer and closer to a time of the year where holidays are coming up, so I suspect that if we're lucky there will be one more 'big' feature in 2018, and then some smaller things to fill in until 2019 comes and the holidays/family vacations begin to ebb.
It would be great to see this continue to grow for many years to come. I would love 5th edition to last a good 20 years with core mechanic updates and the like. As long as things are moving online - I think that’s definitely a possibility, from what I see anyway.
Encounter builder, random loot generator. I would gladly pay $20 for each (let’s hope it’s priced well if that’s the route they are planning on going).

Edit: Though that said:

But-- That's just a guess.
