When creating an attack in a feat, you cannot select the option to use your "Strength or Dexterity modifier (whichever is higher)" for the attack roll. You only have the option of selecting one stat.
Sure, you can write it in the snippit code, and have it appear that way... but if someone tries to "Display As Attack" it might not show up correctly.
I believe the website handles this by creating several versions of feats. For instance, there are 6 "resilient" feats on dndbeyond, one for each stat, instead of having one feat that then lets you select your stat.
Could you create two versions of your feat ? One using str, one using dex, and letting the player pick the correct one ?
Or maybe your feat could offer both options, and the player could choose to display/hide the one that doesn't fit his character ?
Finally - and I have no idea if it works, since i'm not entirely clear what you're trying to do - could you make the attack work off of strength, but give it the finesse trait ?
Yeah it creates several versions of the feat because even though the "Options" section kinda works, but if you try to dive down into it, giving your options options, it breaks the website through some sort of loopback code.
I suppose could create multiple feats, but I'd rather it be more dynamic than that. It would seem silly to me to have a feat that was like "Wereraven (STR), and Wereraven (DEX)"
