Currently it's far too easy for a player to reset their XP when they intend to add it.
Players use the "Set XP" box when they mean to use the Add XP box.
At least in my gaming experience, re-setting level or XP are unusual situations and thus should not be at the top of the Manage XP window.
Recommend: 1) adding red confirmation message "Reduce XP from 23,550 to 1,650?" and green confirmation message "Increase XP from 23,550 to 25,000?" (for both XP input boxes), which would go a very long way toward eliminating this problem.
2) adding an undo function for the last XP change (e.g., "Last change was Reduce XP from 23,550 to 1,650. [UNDO?]")
3) adding a running history for each character accessible from the bottom of this popup, which could be very simple like
start 0 +250 250 +300 550 etc.
4) move the Set Level and Set XP controls to the bottom of that popup in a distinct separate visual area (e.g. inside a border).
That would help the DM enormously when a player has completely fouled up their character sheet. :D
Definitely agree! I very nearly hit the set XP box every session-- I find it's in a somewhat more natural-seeming place than 'add', which is a little counterintuitive IMO. When my DM tells me I get y amount of XP, I'm not going to do my own math if I have a program to do it for me...!
