So, i'm creating a custom Circle subclass and while searching for a way to restrict spell schools, i found this post as someone asking about the same thing, so i thought I would add my voice to the request!
I realize this is probably a very limited edge case, but the option just doesn't exist and being a software developer myself, would be pretty easy to add (in general) based on the other restrictive fields they have set up. Just another list of things. There are much bigger things to tackle i'm sure, but hey if someone is bored one day, it would be nice!
What I want to do specifically is to give the Circle a specific cantrip at level 2, but if they already have it, allow them to choose another one but in that same school. The example is at level 2 they get mold earth, but if they already have it, they can choose another Transmutation cantrip from the druid list. I can restrict to "cantrip" and "druid", but so far I can't seem to be able to do specifically this case. I can put in just the list of transmutation spells specifically, but that leaves out future content, which isn't ideal.
So for my case for now, i'm just going to put it in the text description with a "per DM's discretion " or something since it "can't" really be restricted at this point. They have done quite a few updates since the last time i worked on homebrew stuff, which is about when this topic was active. So maybe someone has ideas on how to accomplish this now that I am missing! Otherwise, like i said, consider this a bump for this kind of request to restrict based on school of magic.
Specifically in that you can attune/bind up to two weapons at a time to be summoned as a reaction to combat and they're no place to mark nonmagical weapons as 'attuned', let alone ones specifically for Eldritch Knights.
That means if you forget to note down which ones are bound to you, or switch and forget to change your notes, there's gonna be a problem.
This is theoretically not a huge deal, just set a new section that had a drop down menu of what equipment you own and have there be marks for Eldritch Knight Bound/Attuned weapons. If you wanna get more technical, you can already attune magical weapons, what's to stop from using the same mechanic with your non-magical?

Weapon bond does not use attunement. Weapon bond doesn't change anything on the character sheet so any new toggle or drop down would only display as a footnote on the item or in the features section.
Basically, you are asking devs to stop working on new tools and features to make a feature that only puts a note on a weapon so you don't have to, and still has all the same issues that making a note manually does.
Also this is really not similar to the OP's request at all. The OP's request has a potential use (in homebrew).

Eldritch Knight had a similar subclass issue.
