Toggle states that change multiple values dynamically would benefit the user experience.
For example, a barbarian player clicks one of their rage uses from the character sheet and marks it used. The only added information is that one of their rages is used, but no new information is shown. When a barbarian rages they gain advantage on STR and CON saving throws, and if the rage ability clicking were to be a toggle state, then it could show the advantage symbols dynamically and add the +2 damage to attacks that use strength, apply the resistances visible to the sheet's corresponding area etc.
Toggle states would benefit a huge number of spells, features and abilities and make it easier and more intuitive to interpret how toggling something affected your character. There is a partial functionality already done with options being changeable inside the character sheet. Toggle states would allow the homebrew community to create shapeshifting, for example clicking transform and new stats and abilities would appear and old ones dissappear.
Maybe in the story there are certain area's that cause different conditions and a homebrew feat given to all player's could allow the toggle state to be a macro of somekind reducing movement speed and applying multiple conditions without the need to click everything separately. I still think DDBs best product is their character sheet and it could be so much better with a few options that support creativity. I get that they might not want to create the toggles themselves but allowing us DM's or the players to do it would be a good step to the right direction. What do you guys think?
