I DM a campaign and am a player in a different campaign. Both are set up in DDB.
For my campaign I share certain digital books with my players and block others. I like the content management feature. However, the DM in the campaign I am a player in doesn't have a subscription yet. I want to share some of my books with the players in the campaign but whenever I enable content sharing, it enables everything I have. There are no buttons to block some content the way there is for the campaign I DM. I have players in the other DM's campaign and don't want them to have access to books in my campaign.

Am I missing something?
As far as I'm aware only the DM can restrict content available within a campaign. It's not up to the person with the subscription because when Content Sharing is enabled - it shares every piece of content every single account in that campaign owns - not just from the one who turned content sharing on.
You're not missing anything, this is currently the way it works. I'm in the same boat, I have players in one campaign that I DM and am a player in another campaign with many overlapping players, so I can't control what is shared and therefore everybody has access to everything.
It's been mentioned that more granular content management options were being considered for development, but there is no status/ETA.

Thanks. Glad to know I'm not the only one. Hopefully, the powers that be will change things so subscribers can manage content no matter what soon.

You can warn the other DM to unshare the compendium content of adventure books, I imagine they wouldn't want any of that shared with players either.
Helpful rewriter of Japanese->English translation and delver into software codebases (she/e/they)
Yes I talked to him. We are going to go through it together and block content that neither of us want shared.
