I ordered the Physical & digital bundles of the core rule books and expansion books in November. When I didn’t get them within a couple of weeks, I emailed support, who said that preorders will ship within 30 days of the listed release date. I wrote back and explained that I didn’t preorder anything, I ordered books which have been released for years. They finally replied again and apologized for the miscommunication. They still can’t say when it will ship, only that my order is “in the early stages” of the process and I would receive a tracking number when it shipped. They won’t even commit to delivery by Christmas.
There was no mention of delayed shipping when I placed the order, yet support acts like this is standard. At this point, I’m asking for a refund so I can order the books elsewhere. I don’t know how that will work with the digital copies that I’ve already redeemed, but I need to know that the physical copies will get here before Christmas.
If the company is not doing the delivery itself, they probably do not want to give delivery dates since it is not something they are sure about, especially right now during the holiday season. Supply chains are really slow right now due to labor shortage. A lot of people are on vacation or are sick (I have the flu right now).
As for the refund thing, I believe redeeming the code automatically disqualifies for a refund. I preordered the deluxe edition of SOTDQ, and on the page with the code, it says: Note: as soon as you unlock the activation key, you lose your right for a refund.
My book and boardgame are being shipped right now, and it will get to my house on December 17 via UPS. However, I ordered this back in August. And since we bought different things, I am not sure how relevant or comparable my purchase's delivery would be to yours.
Yeah, support replied today stating that all sales are final and they will not cancel order or issue refunds. At this point, I think it’s reasonable to file a claim with my credit card for product not received.
