Earlier this year, a new source added a damage type that has not been included in character sheets or monster homebrew. This is official D&D content that has not been implemented into the character customization or homebrew tools for Beyond, and this must be rectified.
I speak, of course, of blueberry damage.
Sheldon the Blueberry Dragon, from May's "Misplaced Monsters: Volume One", has a "Blueberry Fling" attack in his statblock, a ranged attack in which he throws a blueberry from his giant bag of blueberries that does 2d6+4 blueberry damage on hit. This attack can be used as part of Sheldon's multiattack, which makes it a core part of encounters with this monster. Blueberry damage is a new damage type this monster can deal, which means there should be the option to give other creatures weakness/resistance/immunity to it, as well as player characters, homebrew races/classes, and we should be able to make magic items that deal/protect against this damage type.
Frankly, I'm amazed this oversight has been permitted to go on for over half a year. It's quite embarrassing for all of us. It's time blueberry damage was handled like any other damage type. There is a lot of creative potential using this official damage type that is not being tapped, and that's just a shame.
